Subject: This Memory thing Again!

Is there Anything else I can do to solve the running out of disc space problem? I have over 70 gigs free,I have set the memory cache from 10- 2500 Custom size.I have installed the Propack memory updater for Hardrives for 1 gig of ram or more on the drive Poser propack is on.Defragged all my hardrives.And even run Norton Windocter to see if I have any problems.Which I don't. Windows XP Professional is on separate drive.I cannot even render a 200dpi image at 2000 pixels! My computer specs are: Windows XP Professional,Dual Athlon 2.6 plus processors,1.5gigs of ram.Radeon 9700 video card.arrow1

Have you set your Virtual RAM up as recommened by CL? There's a post on their websit about it. Second question, why are you rendering at 200 dpi? If it's for print, fair enough. If it's for the screen, forget it. DPI will make absolutely no difference to the quality of your image.

What screen color depth are you running at? If Hi color(32 bit) try running at 16 bit.

Screen colour depth is running at Medium 16 bit.I have sent an email off to Curious Labs with this problem.If I recieve a reply with anyting new I will post it here in the forum. arrow1

If all else fails...Her are a Couple of thing I tried and seemed to work. 1) I closed all other programs, (like photoshop etc) Photoshop inparticular likes to scoop up memory. 2) I empty the trash 3) I delete all the temp files 4) I shut the computer down and restarted it it, then opened Poser. I'm not an expert, but these did seem to work for me. Good Luck!

Can anyone suggest where Poser keeps it temp files? I can never seem to find them.arrow1
