good start. you might consider adding some details towards the ecosphere (entrance, maybe some contraptions that make the whole thing work, co2 emitters, etc). =)

And something else growing inside the sphere. If it can support a tree, it should also support other growth. Add grass, flowers, butterflies, birds... Anything that shows an oasis in the desolate. Maybe even a fountain? What about some dead things on the outside of the sphere? Dead trees and such. Would show more contrast between the two "worlds."

Although having the singular tree adds to the isolation and indeviduality...whoa. I'm getting too deep.

Yeah, I also think more visible bareness and desolation on the outside would crank up the impact of the protected tree.

Thanks all for the comments. Whenever I think of contrast I think only of color. I never thought of having contrast to the subject. Yes enhancing what it is by showing what it is not. Cool Ideas. Hey you guys could make an artist out of me if you keep making suggestions like that. Thanks And draculaz is right an entrance would be good. I watch too much startrek I probably thought someone could just beam in there for maintenance.

Hey - rather than an entrance from outside, how about a sort of trap-door so it looks like everyone now lives underground? 'Cos where would they be coming from in the outside world lol !?!? Unless you dotted one or two other bubbles way in the distance......
