I found this animation (1.75 MB) and yes, it wasn't made in Poser, but what I was wondering is; Would there be a way for only Poser 5 to recreate the texture of the body, using Hair and Materials?

I should add... " some way for only Poser 5 to recreate the texture of the body, using Hair and Materials"... that wouldn't take a week to render!

If that link didn't work, here is the same file, with the file extension changed to an AVI(Freehost limitations) it can be played in WMP without changing the extension.

Unless of course you already knew this.

For sure that /could/ be made in poser, it would take a while, and I am sure that the lighting wouldn't be the same, but it could be done. It would take a week+ to render though, much like that animation prob toom a week+ to render.

I love Pat and Stanley. You can see more of the artist's animations here:

http://pyer.3dvf.net/movies_pets1.html

You'll need the DivX codec to view them.

Probably not quite what you're after, but this should get you on the right track. I'll post the settings in a moment.

Here are the settings. I think the animation has some blurring in it too perhaps. You can do that in your render settings with depth of field.

Play with the Velvet node and/or the Clay node. Turn down all of the PoserSurface's specularity (set Also, have an eye on your lights: There is a strong backlight that creates the shine in the creatues.

The nodes and the lights (Screenshot is from a German P5 - the nodes you see are Velvet (Samt) and Noise (Rauschen).

Wow!...is their a full video of "Thelionsleeps2night". I really like it, and is a cheer me upper, and could use the full video instead of being cut off. :-) Also, those other video's in the link are in a different language.

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Thu, 13 May 2004 at 12:42 PM

I think that's the original length, Robo2010. Pierre Coffin does a lot of short animations.

And as far as I know, Pat and Stanley are supposed to be in French.

I wanted to see the Hippo bop that rude little dog out of the scene. LOL! Too Funny!
