Finally! Daz will be adding both the Barnyard set, and the Stampede sets tomorrow as well. In addition, there are two freebies also being added to daz freebies as well. Both require thier respective sets as well. For the Sheriff set, there are free comforming spurs being added, and for the Stampede set, there is a Ninja mask, Sai weapons, and a Sai toon weenie. (Hey, what can I say, it seemed like a good idea at the time! LOL!!)

One question, in earliers post you said the the Hippolishes expansion will be included in the Barn and Zoo packs is this still true, or do we need to pick up this in preperation for the Zoo and Barn packs?? Thanks Tony

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 10:58 AM

No, it's not included any longer.. you need the hippolicious pack in order to use the other packs. It made more sense.. they were all originally going to be $19.95 each.. now they are all under $15 each, so this delivers them all cheaper, and offers a perk for people who buy more then one pack. Daz really wanted them all to sell for around $20 each, but my original idea was to deliver more animal types cheaper, and this does the trick.

tonymouse ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 11:05 AM

Cool, in my basket is goes, is ther a gen ETA for the other two packs?

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 11:09 AM

I'm guessing within a few hours at this point. Daz didn't want the Hippolicious pack released until the others were ready to be packaged as well.. They are also uploading some freebies for some of the packages as well in thier freebie sections.. spurs for the sheriff set, and a ninja mask/weapon set for the stampede set.

My husband will be more than thrilled when this is released as I went around all night last night and this morning chanting either MOOSE MOOSE MOOSE or Hippos Hippos Hippos. I'm no longer getting the evil eye (and he's probably wishing I'd just bought the Hippolicious pack last night now) he's just praying they come out before he gets off work so he doesn't have to listen to me talk about them coming out anymore LOL

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 1:14 PM

No Turtle, Turtle, Turtle?? No WartHawg, WartHawg, WartHawg? ;) I'm just happy to be able to share my artwork with other people, AND I get to keep it to play with as well! What other props/clothes would you like to see for them, Towal?

Gareee ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 1:21 PM

Since the packages grew and changed some over the course of forum posts, just to clarify... You need Hippolicious, and then whatever other accessory animal packs you want. They should be up today some time.. Basically: Hippolicious is the Hippo expansion that allows injection morphs, adds brows and props, more headmorphs, mat pose nails and pads, and more material zone options. Barnyard adds Cows, Bulls, and Pigs (and picket signs)to the mix. Stampede adds Turtles, WartHawgs, and Moose to the mix.

Towal ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 4:23 PM

well I'm excited about all of them, but MOOSE are my favorite and Hippos were out so those were the ones that got a mention. His computer is set up on the other side of my desk (the hutch on my desk makes it so we can't see each other) and everytime he even moved I said hippos hippos hippos (since they were out). He goes to bed before me so by the time I went to bed I was up to MOOSE MOOSE MOOSE :) I'm guessing he won't be mentioning my buying 2 things on 2 days again . As far as props or clothing if you build it I will buy :) I think some furniture would be nifty and maybe some buildings or even room "cross sections". I just woke up from a nap so I'm off to check Daz in the hopes that they are up now!

Towal ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 4:37 PM

sob nothing yet :( Are they still set to be released today? fingers crossed

I'm guessing something came up over there, and they couldn;t get them up for some reason. Ryan told me he'd call if there was a problem, and needless to dsay, I got no call. I do know they have about 5 things in their cue waiting to go live, and I also know some things already up were behind me in release scheduling. I tried calleing them about 20 minutes before they usually turn their phones off, and they were off already today. Looks like we'll just have to sit tight for the weekend, gang. I'm really sorry, but I did my part, and really expected them to come through in the pinch.

Towal ( ) posted Fri, 14 May 2004 at 9:03 PM

no problem, Gareee. Not your fault. Now we will have a reason to look forward to a Monday! I should really be working on finishing moving my graphics page to it's own domain anyway...or I might just buy the Hippolicious one and play with that over the weekend instead ;)

I don't know what to tell you guys... something else was given a priority, and Even Sal made it out first. I know Penelope, and Sal were both behind these in the release cue, and I've talked to my contact at Daz, and told him that people who bought Hippolicious were eager to get the promised packs, and was told they would see what they could do. A higher up pulled one of the people from packaging for this other thing, and that's what caused this delay. I REALLY apologize, but there's not much I can do other then sit an wait with you guys. Who wants to sing Kumbiya?

Towal ( ) posted Mon, 17 May 2004 at 9:34 PM

bah. Well not your fault Gareee. Thanks for letting us know what is going on. Daz does a few things that don't make much sense to me. I guess they figure if people want something they will buy it no matter when they get around to releasing it (which in this case happens to be true for me, but it is not always the case). Thanks again for keeping us in the loop :)

Gareee ( ) posted Tue, 18 May 2004 at 8:42 AM

I talked to Ryan yesterday, and he was very sorry for the delay. I think they are also going to release them with the injection versions removed from the pack.. they were concerned about file size, and practicality, since the characters could just be now loaded complete. Evidently, Injection Magic does some weird internal things they are now researching as well. Nothing that didn;t work, but they weren't totally happy about they way it worked. I know Ryan was working late last night, but now they also need to rip the injections poses from the pack.. more busy work. If anyone needs them for a specific reason, I'll of course provide them for people who buy the sets. And that damned injection stuff delayed all the releases by like a week or so! I did work on something yesterday (can't mention yet) that is more toony goodness! 8am yesterday until 4:30 AM last night!
