Subject: Importing Poser .obj into RDS 5

stratmaster ( ) posted Wed, 11 October 2000 at 12:32 AM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 10:29 AM

Hi everyone, I am new to 3d. I am trying to import a poser figure into RDS 5, delete all but a single object, the head and use the sphere of attraction to distort it and save as a morph target for poser. The problem I am having is: How do you select the head and invert the selection to delete the unneeded parts? When I am in the Perspective View (before jumping in) there is no Selection menu and when I try to jump in to the mesh modeller only a single part jumps in. Am I missing something here? Am using RDS 5.02 Does anyone know of a simple way to accomplish a selection of this sort. Thanks

Try exporting just the head of the model you wish to use out of poser. Once you're done making your morph you should be able to use it as a morph target on the model in poser.

Is there a quick explaination as to how to use a model as a morph target? (I'm very new to Poser, myself....) You could always select everything but the head in the heirarchy window and punch delete....
