AS stated above......I bought the lovely new western clothes for M2...now I need some for V2 or V3, or something that would be close for a western scene. Do you think the Ashley outfit at Daz would suffice??? I don't want to put up a pic with people ranting that it's not historically correct you know ;). I already have the saloon girl stuff from PW..but I don't want my women in the street to be all looking like saloon girls LOL. TIA

DAZ's Historial Dress's, (OK for ball gowns). Womens peroid clothing is tough to find DAZ has great free western, weapons and holsters. RDNA has great free accessaries like, hay, horse trough, barrel, and great purchase items like adobe buildings table, chairs etc. Lot of western stuff. POSERWORLD has some great Civil War figures, (North & South). On the Missionary's daughter you can make the hair invisable if you want to use your own hair color/style. Don't forget Poserworlds Saloon. Steve, don't you have a Sheriffs office too? Renderosity has a great stagecoach. I wish I could help more on women's peroid clothing, but I have the same problem. :O(

To answer the question about the Ashley dress at Daz, yes it'd be suitable for the mid to late 19th century although the textures might need some work. A Gingham texture for the dress would be more useful for typical townsfolk. This Ashley texture is maybe a bit too 'Wealthy' for a western street. For a cowgirl, Questor's weapons and gunbelts from Daz are great. Spanki has a set of chaps in the Rosity MP that look good too.

RDNA has a couple of packages, Suble Elegance-Dress & Top, Poet Shirt & Vest, and OtherWorlds Pioneer texture, plus there are other fancier peroid dress texures. RDNA also has a Cabin Constriction set, where you can buil cabins, barns etc. RDNA WhiteChapel Streets could pass for an "Eastern" city. Take a look.

General rule: the Wild West is part of the Victorian World, though maybe not the high fashion end. There are differences between different parts of the world, such as fewer bowler hats, the Spanish-American influence in the south-west, and just the different climate. In England, servants might still be wearing clothes that wouldn't look out of place in the 18th century, but leaving out the cap and a different texture could put a housmaid, cook, or housekeeper into a Western town as a respectable lady of limited means. But watch the dates. People did follow fashion.
