Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 6:57 am)
TJ - what kind of issues are you having again ? I just upgraded to 4.53 and I spent some time last night on a new picture. Vue was behaving normally until I started importing multiple objects from Poser. After that, although my scene was relatively simple, I reached something like 11 millions of polygons... and I had a crash every 20 mins. I will try to experiment some more tonight and see if I can reduce the number of polygons while keeping the same scene. So my question is... are you having crashes with simple scenes as well ? or is it only with large scenes or animations ? Also.. .what are the specs of your machine ? I have a P4 2.4 GHz with 1G of RAM and I was quick to reach the limits of capacity of my memory.
petshoo - we already discussed the possibility of a refund in a different discussion. e-on software does not have a refund policy.
To agiel: yes, I can have crashes with "simple" scenes also :-( For example: as soon as I want to create a camera animation on the timeline... In fact it seems that when I import a big file (some Onyx trees for example), it crashes less! This machine is a PIV 1.5 GHz, 896M of RAM, 2G of swap file, nVidia MX 440 video card, setup with Windows 2000 SP4. What else would be usefull to mention? It crashes with and without OpenGL and THE only message I get is (I translate ): " Vue4Pro.eon generated an error in Windows. This program will now be stopped and will have to be launched again. A diary is actually created. " Tested on my laptop with Windows XP Pro: same error :-( Installed "here" are... some other well know 3D softwares, which behave quite nicely... And Vue 4 "standard" is ROCK solid (as you say in english). Thanks for your interest Regards T J

I haven't been around much lately due to work outside now that it is spring and pretty weather. I did notice a new update for Vue Pro users at e-on's web site. Thought I would post it since I didn't see a notice about it here. :)
