Subject: Canoeing in the wilds...

I did a photo shoot from a canoe the other day in Historic Turkey Creek Sanctuary and here are two of the results. The third image I am going to post is what swam right by the canoe! I would like to hear your thoughts on the first two images, the third image put the word fear in my vocabulary. He or she was as big as the boat I was in!

@ Misha Nope wasn't getting out of the boat, got a bit paranoid remembering the feedings at Gatorland and at the zoo. I will try to get Austin to post a pic of one of the gator feedings he captured at the zoo. Gators can actually jump, and at Gatorland they have quite a few feedings that you can watch called the gator jump-a-roo show! They tie chickens (dead and de feathered) onto a cable on a pulley and roll them out over the water 4 to 5 feet from the surface, and the gators jump up out of the water and get the chickens. @Michelle Holy shit is right! I have a ton of these images, I took about 200 images on this shoot, matter of fact I will show you my favorite, (see attached image). It is really hard to get good shots when the boat keeps jerking from the rowing and the area is pretty much shaded, all in all I wound up with about 60 shots like the ones up above. The attached image like I said is one of my favorites, not sure what to call it, but I hope you all like it! Of course I will do a little cropping on this image, as the composition isn't all that. :)

Posting this image too! This one is just to let you all know that there are more then just scary reptiles out there in the creek.

Brenda, It's so mystical and beautiful...it kind of reminds me of going on the Safari ride at Disneyland. Awesome! I would have loved to go canoeing with you! (Cept for that gator!)

I can see why post #7 is a favorite, it's beautiful! I even like the crop the way it is.... :~)
