Is this SEPARATE from the first version that came out earlier? If so, do you need to have the first to use the second? Either way, I must say this is no less than fabulous work!!

Some things in Part 1 look to be the same as in Part 2. Or am I misunderstanding something (not the first time that's happened)?

SanctumArt ( ) posted Fri, 21 May 2004 at 1:08 PM

I would like to clear up about this post. It's a continuation of Part 1 which is presenting the same products with different images. Thanks for asking and sorry about the confusion... Thanks for your interests...(:D

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Fri, 21 May 2004 at 1:19 PM

Well, ONE thing is for sure, you demonstrated how versatile the set is...even had me thinking it was WIP on another set...LOL. Thanks for the reply!

Criminy! I already expressed WOW in the first thread but what I neglected to mention then which also applies now is that the product pics are tremendous pieces of work as well! I mean on top of the imagining, the modeling and posering (or poserizing) all these beautifully done sample images. So WOW again. !

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Fri, 21 May 2004 at 5:45 PM

It's a great package, with an amazing level of detail ... but it's too shiny and clean for my tastes, as if the entire thing rolled off the assembly line a few months ago, with Windex and squeegees on standby to eliminate the slightest smudge.

Are any additional texture packs planned? Something to really give it that long-used, poorly-maintained industrial grunge factor that I so love? Rust, oil stains, grease and dirt, etc.

gasp!... =O

MachineClaw ( ) posted Sun, 23 May 2004 at 1:52 AM

I agree about the industrial grunge, it's needed. Great set, poses well, and it renders with the light sets like the ads. I don't think the ads really give it the demention of this set. It is SO huge. Unfortunatly any addon of grungynes would have to be completly new textures unless it's done by SanctumArt. I bought it to destroy it, how odd is that! I don't have the skills nessesary, but it's fun learning to grunge on such a set with textures that are so well done and so well modeled. Panels with exposed inner wiring, rust drips from leaky walls. Pools of oil on floor paneling, tire tracks infront of the door. broken glass, with bullet holes, landing pad burn marks, capsules with frost and only the face hole showing like they have been in cold ice for years hybernating. 'beds' with rips and exposed under stuffing. ahhhh I could go on. This set just begs to be messed up. Industrial Wherehouse texture set. Come on, it's only 122 textures, someone can whip that up in no time :P
