We believe our words represent the heart of what it means to be human. And by sharing our words we come to know our neighbors and ourselves. Our beliefs, our passions, our tragedies, and our sense of beauty are all wrapped up in our words. And of course, some of the best stories make us laugh so hard we almost pee our pants.

And so, at Story House, we share stories on the sides of our coffee cans! (Of course! Makes sense!)

If you would like to submit art, a story, a letter, an article, or anything you think might be suitable for publication on our coffee labels, you've come to the right place. Hopefully, this page will give you a pretty good idea of what we're looking for. CURRENT NEEDS/NEWS: 1) We are open once more to fiction over 500 words. 2) NEED: "Flash Fiction" pieces - 500 words or less. Payment is $25/per piece - regardless of word count. (We'd especially like to see SERIALIZED flash fiction!!) 3) NEED: strongly argued - OPINION/ISSUE pieces; we would love to see some good essays on Ethics. 4) NEED: ROMANCES 5) NEW PAY RATES: from $.10/word to $.20/word. ($100-$200 per 1,000 word piece.)

I don't know if my brand of literature is suitable for their needs, but I truly enjoyed the site.
I love coffee, and if I'm going to pay a small fortune for Jamaican Blue Mountain, I may as well do business with nice people.
My theory is: where you buy food things effects the flavor...so the voices in my head tell me...and I believe them...because they're my voices.

I saw your post and I was inspired to write something. I grabbed a pen and quickly wrote it down. Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear Drinking like he doesn't care Shooting pistols in the air Dancing in his underwear Policeman says to keep it down Teddy knocks him to the ground His girlfriend cannot make his bail So he spends the night in jail. Let's see if they print that piece of crap.

I think it's a little more ambitious than Jones Soda. I know it's easy to make fun of a market like this but consider how many coffee drinkers are out there. You just never know where your literary work will reach. Of course I tend to think you have to have respect for the market and for your own work before you submit anywhere. I've never had such a big ego that I thought I could afford to insult someone by sending them what I didn't consider the best I could do at the time. But that's just me.

I wsn't making fun of Story House. I was making fun of myself which I reserve all right to do. I actually like that my little poem. I'm sure not everyone will, but it's my sense of humor. If I thought it were defective in any way (except morraly), I would tinker with it until I had the way I like it.

Just so we're all clear, I think story house is neat. :)
