Quite frankly, I am not in favor of this change. I used to use the explorer find command to find out something on a previous purchase. Now, I have to wait and wade through upteen different pages. And quite frankly it didn't load any quicker. Suggestion: to have the twenty most recent on one page, and the rest on a second page. I think that would be better.
With this change you loose the ability to search through your purchases. I do this a lot to find the ReadMe file belonging to a product. Since most of those are called readme.txt and often overwritten or stored at an unknown location this is the only way to easily find it.
Is it possible to have the old 1 page purchase history as an option in you profile?
How about just add a 'search' function to past purchases and keep the new page ?
A 'search' function would be fine - if it allows for partial searches, such as "bat" for not only items from "batlab", but also for textures for "batlab" clothing from other merchants.
Even better would be, to be able to additionally specify the type of item you are searching for - such as textures, character or clothing items.
As long as Poser - or DAZ Studio for that matter - does not have a searchable repository for objects, there is a real need for something else. The purchase history - for now - is the only way to get this information
Agree with BlueBeard on this. I also use the find option of IE when I do a render and need to find a purchase to give proper credit to, especially if I am doing a render of Victoria 2 which I like to do from time to time. Thank you, Nancy

It really slows me down and cost me time. This is one change that really needs to be rethought. I spent half an hour looking through the records for something I bought last night and gave up. Now this morning, I received notice of an update, and went about trying to find it. This is really a pain. I started at 8:30 system time, and I have only been able to check 2 pages, as I am waiting for the system to advance. And why, why did they only put the link at the top. So that we have to scroll through the page to look and then back up to the top to go to the next page. Page 3 is finally up. Its 8:39 and I finally found it on page 3. But, I am curious as to how long it will take me to scroll through all the pages and so I am going to continue. Besides maybe I can find the product I never did last night. And I am on a DSL line!
Hi BB, The systems are a little slow right now since the nightly batch job is still being processed. When this job finishes running the Purchase History pages should load up a lot faster for you. We can look into adding the navigation links to the bottom as well as leaving them at the top. Thanks for the suggestion. Clint

I ended up making the item myself, because I got tired of waiting. I wanted a special effect in a render and I was positive I had purchased a FX set. Now I can't find it and it takes forever to go through all the pages. So I wound up creating the effect myself, maybe I should come up with my own special effect package! ;) Oh well, the render is done, and I should be posting it on Monday in the gallery, so you can judge for yourself. Maybe if we had the option of a link on the purchases page to show all purchases at once. Then when we are just downloading the recent purchases, that keeps things simple. BUT! If we want to look for an old item that has been updated, or who did I buy such and such from to credit in a render, or a filename of a package that had be purchased or leave a review, it would not be such a problem.
I have to say, Renderosity's way of displaying purchases is still better than some of the other sites. I just got notice that I had two updates to items I bought elsewhere. Because the account window only shows the order number, now I have to open an order, look at the list, close the order and go on to the next one .... one by one, looking at each of my past orders to find the item. In the last ten minutes, I've found one of my items. It's really frustrating, and, even with the new arrangement, I know it wouldn't have taken me this long on Renderosity.
As a point of comparison, it takes me less time to find a customer on reports page, than it does to find a merchant on my purchases page! I do stand corrected, yes it is much better here in a lot of ways, as I do business on both sides of the street, so to speak at several places. This being one of them. However, in the particular change, I did like the set up much better before!
I preferred the old way better too: much simpler and quicker to find items. ali x
FYI - We have added the navigation links to the bottom of your purchase history page as well. [First][Previous][Next][Last] Clint

Without a search or IE-like Find solution, the Purchase History is totally useless for me.
Please think of the fact that your best customers have the most pages to go through and are the ones most in need of a search facility.
Please make it an option - use the new setup as the default, but let the ones who need it use the old way.
How about adding the ability to download the list as a text file. People could then update their local copy each time they get a page or two of items.
Also how difficult would it be to get just a list of items updated since they were last downloaded or just indicate that an item has been updated by highlighting it ?
It was not broke..lol..so why was it fixed? Can it not return to the way it was before please?

It was seriously easier to find stuff the old way. Some kind of search functionality really needs to be added if you're going to keep only this new method.

Search options sound like a right good idea, and one that Clint is already looking into. As for going back to the single page display, not a good idea. That display meathod created too much system load. We're going to keep the new method, and work on some search functionality that will help us all out. As part of our on-going efforts to improve site performance, and ease of use, we have enhanced the Purchase History pages. Previously this page displayed all purchases on a single page, sometimes requiring lengthy load times. Now you can immediately display 20 items per page, starting with the most recent. You can navigate between multiple pages using the Next and Previous options. This new layout is much faster, so you dont have to wait. We hope you enjoy this change.
