Seth m.3 is making waves. With a revolutionary twist of application, this figure can now 'grow' through an entire teenaged age range, remaining posed or animated the entire time. Twist the dial, dial an age anywhere from about 13 to adult. With the ability to accept M3, Freak and Puck textures and injection morphs, and to slide easily into most M3 poses (and most other Mil Poses), Seth m.3 will delight you and inspire you. Built off of the DAZ Unimesh, this product's geometry comes in the form of RTE difference files which contain only the derivations and not the original unimesh, and as a result requires DAZ's Michael 3 figure to already be owned by the user. However, once generated the figure and bodysuit geometry are a standalone mesh all their own with their own custom CR2 and support files, injection poses, and so on. This approach allows XFX3d/Dodger (creator of She-Freak and Puck) and PoserPros to bring you high-quality Mil3-mesh-based figures in the form of what essentially amounts to a simple kit, making your existing M3 purchase even more valuable to you! To decode the files you need RTEncode, the PC version of RTEncoder can be found here: http://www.poserpros.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2822 The Mac/Java alpha version of RTEncoder is available at: http://www.geocities.com/RTEJava/alpha/index.html

Interesting .. How do you get the clothing to dial from 13 to adult as well? Just wondering ...

OK, that takes care of Dodger's text. Now for mine. This is the most figure design release in years. The figure actually changes in size, proportion and shape to reflect the age. Default is a (in my opinion), a 17 or 18 year old young man. Younger at the 1 is about 12 to 13, while older at 1 is the M3 male. I've done some animations with this, and it's great. The figure takes all the M3/Freak/Puck injection morphs from Daz, uses the M3/V3 standard textures. At the oldest age, he wears M3 clothing, at the youngest, he's a very close fit for the Preteen boy clothing. And he adds great variations to the standard male lineup. Using him at default and adding the M3 morphs gives you a whole range of new young adult figures. I'm posting this from Indiana right now, so I'm a little limited on some of the pics I can post, but I've gotten a broader range of variation with him than any other figure available. Available at PoserPros... for an unbelieveavly low price.

We got cloths! There's two sets available right now, and more coming. Seth Casual Basics by the estimable and irrascable Dodger. Okay, so check it... Seth needs some clothes because he's not old enough to be a pornstar no matter what he thinks. So here's some stuff you can put him in. Included is one set of RTE conversion sneakers, plus a bunch of full-fledged non-conversion stuff -- -- stuff like boots just like those GAF freaks wear, -- and one of them fishnet shirts (fully compatible with the GAF stuff) -- and some jeans (compatible too) -- and a baseball shirt (sorta compatible -- it's got the same UVmap basically but it has different materials so you can make it into a TShirt or a baseball shirt (default) or a long-sleeved T. -- OH! And some underwear. Well, not really underwear. Not a whole pair. Just the tops actually, so it can stick out of jeans like it's s'posed to you know?

Hey, I finally get to tell you about my set of stuff for Seth. Something a little rougher, and more edgy than Dodger's set, but still keeping in the whole age range thing. The design of the clothing comes from some things I'd seen on the streets of Portland, with a few textures from a leather show or two. Age fully morphing, it'll fit Seth at all his age ranges. And remember, all of the Seth clothing at the oldest age range fits M3.

The clothing ages the same way the character does. And there is a bit more. P5 users, you can use the material room to change the texture in an animation based on the frame. I've got a great animation to show this, and am working on a tutorial I'm be releasing next weekend. The nice thing about this is you can take a barefoot boy with cheaks of tan, and morph him to a full grown muscle man, and age his texture too. I've done this with ZetaStudios Breathgen kids texture, fading into either ZetaStudios Leo or Iago in the animation. I'd post everything now, but I'm in Indiana on an old (very old) machine with a 24K line. I'll be back in civilization on Thursday night, so I'll be posting the tut and anmiation on Friday.

Jim's right, this has to be one of the most interesting and inovative pieces I have worked with in long while. It fully expands the range of builds by age types, greatly increasing the possibillitys of a third gen mil figure. and he's cute ;) He does whine a bit if you ask him to do the dishes though. but he's all for washing the car, so go figure. but he's all for washing the car, so go figure. He's seen too many of those adverts with blondes bouncing around carrying hoses and wearing wet t-shirts LOL

So all the bodyglove internal M3 textures work on this product? M3 has a built in bodyglove for things like skin tight stuff, similar to active wear for V3, do the dirivative New models that your creating work with these existing textures sets for M3, work for these figures?

Daz originally said that encoding wasn't a solution and that is why there were very few charcters for V3 et al. Did I miss something? Is there a kickback to Daz? Or did nobody just exploit this until Dodger did it? Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm just a bit confused is all. Maybe I'm confused about base obj encoding vs morphs, the product page gives info on what is needed to create the runtime libary just unclear about okay and not okay.

how does one go about creating clothing items for the tween-teen figure? export out of poser as obj and do clothing modeling on that obj?

I guess I really should IM dodger over at PoserPros but I thought I'd ask out in the open here as other may have the same questions.

I'm happy to see Dodger and team doing something new and interesting, interesting to see where all this goes.

Blender nodes, I presume?

Hey MachineClaw, since a pic is worth a thousand words, does this answer you question. Second Skin txture (as-is) AND Freak pose (modified a little tiny bit).

MachineClaw ( ) posted Sun, 23 May 2004 at 8:21 PM

Certainly answers that question yeah.

All my Cyber clothing does full aging morphing. Dodger's casual basics don't yet (but will soon, I think). It's actually very easy to make the clothing morphs for aging when making and morphing clothing. I can't really go into detail right now (still in wonderful Indiana), but there will be a full tutorial on how to do it within a week and a half (I gotta get back home first, unless Dodger beats me to it). There will be more clothing for Seth soon too. I've got another project almost ready, and will be releasing it to Poserpro's next weekend. This time, shorts, long sleeve shirt, vest, and thongs. They'll have the aging morphs too. Better go, I've got to take my father to Kentucky tomorrow for two days, and there's a thunderstorm coming in (a big one). Whew! We don't get thunder and lightning very often in Portland, and tonight is gonna be a treat to me. Wish me luck on my trip. These things are pretty stressful.

MachineClaw ( ) posted Sun, 23 May 2004 at 11:40 PM

Dodger IM me over at PoserPros and gave me some details in answering the questions I posed. Seems like a huge mystery when in fact it just hasn't been done like this before and clothing isnt any more difficult than normal (err for those that can do it). Thanks for the answers and quick responses, and for letting Dodger know I had posed a questions, was good to read his description.

pdxjims, Good luck on that trip! Drive carefully, especially if you aren't used to high winds and horizontal rain. The weather reports haven't been encouraging. Remember that you have to get your father there safely, so don't chase after any tornadoes! Carolly

So does the face "grow up" with the rest of the body when you twiddle the dial ?

pdxjims ( ) posted Wed, 26 May 2004 at 9:48 AM

The face goes younger and older with the dial twist. M3 face with a dial setting of 1, Seth's base face at 0 on both younger and older, and as a kid when the setting for Younger is set for 1. Quick side note: Older at 1.5 is pretty neat...
