Subject: Morph dials don't work on V3

shorterbus ( ) posted Mon, 24 May 2004 at 3:44 PM · edited Sat, 11 January 2025 at 6:20 AM

I apply the full body injection "all muscularity" to V3. I go to the parameter dial and I can see the morphs, but when I dial them nothing happens. Likewise, when I apply preset morphs package - the dials are there, the values set, but the character has not changed. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Are you using the V3 Sr1.1 figure or the V3 BLANK Sr1.1? The BLANK is for content developers, and has no channels. You'll see the dials, but they won't do anything.

Momcat, No, using the Sr1.1, not the blank, though I always wondered what the blank was for.

Are you using the FBM dials on the BODY, or the PBMs on the individual body parts? Also try selecting a body part, and then reselecting the BODY. Sometimes Poser just needs achance to refresh.

Also in some cases Poser will show all the dials even if the morphs aren't really injected. So excuse me for asking a silly question, but you have injected all the muscularity morphs first? heh but the blank V3 was my initial guess too...

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Poser gets weird at times...as was said above, make sure you have the correct figure selected and then "body"... Sometimes I have to actually click on V3 to get the object menu to refresh, otherwise I wind up wrecking something else... solo

Don't ask me to explain this, guys, but I exited out of P5, restarted, and now it's working fine. Thanks for the help, really do appreciate it.

Ah..P5. that explains all. Mostly because with P5 there usually is no explaination, lol.

Heh that's just Poser in a nutshell :o) Oh well, the main thing is that you got it solved :o) G and don't you just hate when something like that happens? It's like taking a car to the repair shop just to discover that the "strange noise" miraculously stopped 50 yards before the shop LOL

sounds like just another 'undocumented P5 feature' :-)

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

Discovered something else about what can make this happen. Before I found this thread, I opened up the Blank Vicky, discovered the morphs didn't work on her, got rid of her, opened up a V3 character I'd saved, and she didn't work either. Long story short, I deleted all the .rsr files in the Geometries folder, and everything was OK. I find I have to do this drill every time Poser (or my PC) crashes. This was just another ill cured by that.
