Hello to all poser users... I just recived poser 5, this looks like a really nice program, but, it would be even nicer if I new how to use it lol. I am in search for some Absolute beginner tutorials. I found a link to this site, www.ronknights.com, I found that it had no beginner tutorials, so I am looking for some more links. I would like to have tutorials (if the exsits) that takes you from, novice, to intermediate, to pro, I am not lookinf for the fastest way, but the best way :0) So, If you know of any place. please please please, oh pretty please, tell me where they are :0) I have been searching for a few days. I even searched this forum, but didnt find too much... Anyway, Thank you for your time, and thank you for takking the time, to read this... David.

I'm also new to Poser 5. I've never used Poser before this. My suggestion is to search for the following in the forum search here at renderosity. DG#1 This will produce a number listings. They are posts of tutorials by a Dr. Geep. I just found them and they have helped me immensely as even the terminology used on Poser sites was confusing to me. Dr. Geep posts all his tutorials on this forum. They all have three numbers and the ones that are 100, 101, etc are for Poser 5. He's got a bunch that are 001, 065, etc and these are for Poser 4 but may teach you enough to be able to figure out how to use the stuff in P5. Good Luck, Kristta PS. Come here and ask lots of questions too. Everybody is really nice and answers come pretty quick.

I suggest starting with this one... it is written for absolute beginners. Even though it is for Poser 4, it will get you used to the general workspace and conventions. Poser 5 incorporates almost all that is in Poser 4, so you won't have to unlearn anything, except possibly in the Materials Room. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1762047 And, I do recommend the tutorials in the manuals and keeping the quick reference card at hand. You can also ask your questions here. It helps if you put the subject of the question in the title so the right experts can pounce upon it. Carolly

also, if you want to get organized before you have a 40 gig Runtime, and can't find anything, you might want to look at these threads on renaming, sorting, and filing all those Poser goodies so that they are at hand when you need them. :) Carolly

I run p5 on 96 megs ram and 233 mhz pII, If you want to know the tricks of the trade for rendering on slow system, I'll let you know. (10 g hard drive!!!) no problem, THAT'S WHAT I HAVE!!! You don't need a big fancy system to get the most out of poser 5, from procedural shading nodes to the latet volumetric lighting with hdr faking, let me know. I'll help you with what I know, I'll refer you with what I don't. It's all about learning here!
