Subject: Looking for a rust texture (P4) so I can package this prop for Free Stuff

Trying to package up a freebie here and want to make it compatible with both P5 and P4. The materials in the image are all P5 materials so those won't work for the P4 folks (unless someone knows a way to save it out as a .jpg?). So far the ones I have come across I just can't get happy with. This section, which will be the part with the highest face count, came out to about 1400 faces all total I think, so it won't drag your render time or tracking speeds down that much. Anyway I am looking for a rust texture that is similar to that of what you see in the image on the walls. The rest is pretty standard textures, just wood or metal that could be used from many different sources. A big thanks to Dr. Geep for helping me through getting it out of maya and into a prop complete with swinging door.

What is the format of your actual texture? Can you upload it here so someone can convert it to JPG for you? France

Unfortunately I don't know of a way to save a P5 procedural.. Except... hmm.. perhaps apply it to the background node (or a square) and render that in a large resolution, then simply use that render, saved as a jpg? I dunno if it would work, but in theory it should.

Thats not a bad Idea Ernyoka, not sure why I had not thought of that. I will give it a shot and see how it works.

It worked pretty well actually...

Nice :oD Actually I wasn't sure it would work, it was just a wild idea. I'm happy to see my ideawas right. That also means that there is at least SOME way to get procedurals out, though of course the best would be if Poser could "bake" them. Well who knows? Perhaps in Poser 6?
