If you have V3 or M3 the Platinum Club is a bonanza well worth the cost. I have V1,2 M1,2 and there is not a lot related to them there, but there are always props, scenes, and other things available that I find myself purchasing every month. I spend an average of 10 to 25 dollars (US) in the club every month. If you compare the PC club prices with the regular prices of the same items, I'm saving a great deal of money every month.

This week 5 of Thorne and Sarsa's wonderful fairies for the MilPreteen have been added to the store for 1.99 each, on sale in the regular store for about 10.49 each, that's about a 52 dollar savings. I'd say the platinum club is well worth it.

As far as the bundle pack, which bundle pack are you refering to?

DAZ Studio...I'm not impressed, however, it is still in beta, so I'll reserve judgement until it's finished.

I'm not sure what's in the bundle pack now- but when I joined there was items so very very worth it!! I was amazed, I got so many nice characters!!!!! PC club is excellent! I'm on the month to month and the $5.00 voucher towards merchandise makes the monthly fee so low it is unbelieveable. It is definately WORTH it. I do recommend owning V3, SP3, or M3 as soon as possible though. All the new stuff is for them. My only disappointment with Daz is no one supports their older models. Another great place is PoserWorld- There they take into consideration that many still like new things for their older dolls.

As Grey Tower said : If you have M3-S3-V3, it's a real great deal. As for myself, liking still M2-V2, I seriously consider not renewing : the odd prop and place is not enough to be really worth it IMHO. Plus there is much more fantasy than SF... On the other hand, Thorne just joined and several PreTeen character are available. Since the MGPT is a nice model to portray petite women in the early 20's range, it can be interesting. But may be this is just the sign that the MGPT 3rd generation is in the tube. As for DAZ Studio, it's not working yet, but it is not a final version, so I'll wait until the release to build an opinion.

The bundle pack.. Well the value of that depends on how ling youve been purchasing things from zygote/Daz. Some of the stuff in it is old and some of it are things I would never ever have bought (not that there's anything wrong with it as such, but I have little use for a cannon and a piggybank) I'm not sure what's in the current pack though. At some point the Hydra was in it, and the hatchling Dragon has afaik also been icluded. The chimpanzee is included I think and some older hairdos and various characters. The best savings are from the 30% off Daz originals, it adds up to quite a bit when there's a a character like V3 or the millennium horse. And now that the vouchers also works on brokered stuff it's an even better deal :o)

PC Club: Great deal for me.

DAZ Studio:
First: I'd say DAZ Studio-Looks promiseing.

Second: if you like magnets or products that include magnets there won't be any support. As a result I won't be useing D/S unless DAZ or a 3rd party developes a plug-in that gives a solution.

I love the PC. The monthly $5 coupons are now valid for everything in the store including brokered items (except of course the PC stuff that's already $1.99). If you buy stuff at DAZ for $10 or more per month, the coupons add up to $60 in discounts in a year - which is a large portion of the cost of joining in the first place! So if you do M3 and V3 at all and like clothes, scenery and such, it's a total bargain.

It's definitely worth it for me because I tend to do a "trolley dash" through all the sites every few weeks. I reckon PC has saved me hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. I joined when it first started and had no hesitation about renewing. PC means I'm happy to buy stuff just for the hell of it, and it also gives me huge discounts on other DAZ stuff, plus the free models they give out from time to time. The bundle contained a lot of things I would never have bought but is probably useful to have, plus a few things I would definitely buy at some point. I guess that's a good balance for free. In fact, it's a bloody awesome balance.

What everybody else said. Yes I'll be renewing without a second thought. The PC pack for joining was worth a few hundred dollars and the savings on new characters coming out is fantastic. The store is set up well and the service is outstanding. Any problems I've had have been resolved in 24 hours or less. I really can't think of anything bad to say about the deal, it's worth the investment. I shop for props and humanoid/toon characters at Daz, character textures here (the best in the community can be found here), clothes and props at PoserPros (the ProClub deals are as awesome as the PC deals), and fantasy characters at SixusMedia (terrific deals, very good characters, awesome service). DazStudio is great considering the current price. It's updated frequently with proprietary content included. It has a great deal of potential and will be well worth investing time in to learn. I think it has an easier learning curve than Poser 5 but not as easy as Poser 4. The module idea is going to really make it stand out as you'll only have to pay for the ones you'll need, making it an affordable alternative to the major players.

If you purchase regularly, the PC is worth it, particularly now that the vouchers work on brokered items. If you buy something each month, you will probably get the membership fee back in what you save.

I personally have had a problem with DAZ that is still outstanding. It's slated to be addressed, but hasn't been yet and is behind schedule, so I'm a bit angry and frustrated. It's holding up some of my plans. There have been a couple of times in the past where I've had to contact them two or three times to get action. However, in all but the current still-in-progress case, they have been resolved.

Steve Kondris just posted a list of what's in the freebie pack in the DAZ forum. Maybe that was your question he was answering?

DAZ Studio won't keep up with me, personally, so I'm still using Poser. I do think it has potential. I also think it's going to be quite a while before it fulfills it.

Don't forget that there are tons of great animal models (eagle and deer for starters) in the Club, loads of great clothes for Vicky et al (especially the versatile ones like the morphing dresses), top hair (Sassy hair 2!!!), and scenes and accessories galore. Yep, well worth the money - expecially now the $5 is actually spendable!!!

It depends on what your looking for and if you purchase regularly. But PClub is one among the great Poser subscription deals around. If I were that loaded, I'd join them all.... but.... :).... I'm satisfied with DAZ.

Thank God they allowed to use the vouchers on Brokered items.... tho I wouldn't be surprised if prices of new items coming in were jacked up higher than what it should have cost if vouchers were not used.

With regards to the bundle- If I renew next year, it would be nice if it wouldn't contain the same items or include past freebies as when I first joined up. Its a bonanza for new members but generally a let down for renewals. Probably a solution for this is to clamour for DAZ to come up with a really 100% exclusive subsciption package of items not found in the store.... Probably not as much as what's in the current bundle but ALL NEW EXCLUSIVE ITEMS, nonetheless.

Then again, who am I to argue that the PClub doesn't save a bundle of cash. Or is it? LOL I bet alot of member's wallets suffer whenever new items are released. They're on sale now.... Oiiii the pain.... And I just managed to clear my wishlist last month. Fairys.... in they go..... ++++

I reserve judgement for Studio until the full final version is released.

Heh- I had a bunch of money ready to drop here in the REN Store and the day I was ready to shop they changed everything here- and then lo and behold- a 35% OFF Sale at DAZ, so I went over there and bought tons of stuff there! Check though the DAZ bins (older page sections) - there's some great new bargains there on stuff that you might have missed months ago when they were only on sale for just a couple of weeks. NOWS the time to shop at DAZ and get great bargains, even for non-PC members. My other favorite site is RDNA, I love their theme architecture and natural plantlife. I usually buy them all, they are so great, plus they give you lots of nice deals and great freebies. Renderosity is increasing becoming the K-MART of the Poser Community, and their store reflects that now. Most really good modeler's have left and only a very small handful of good (worth buying) models show up every week. I have been disappointed in the quality of stuff I've purchased in the REN Store, but DAZ and RDNA have never disappointed me.

I have to say that I believe the Platinum Club is well worth it. So many good items available for just $1.99 it's insane. That said, I buy from DAZ 99% of the time. Never disappointed with their products so far. The marketplace here is OK, but as mentioned, the quality isn't as good as found on DAZ. I love the fact that DAZ takes the "highlights" out of their textures as much as possible, making them suitable for just about any lighting situation. In my opinoin, highlights should come from specularity, and not baked into the texture.

I concur with most folks..I love the Plat club..out of every $10 I spend on stuff for Poser..over time, I'd estimate that the Plat club gets $7 :)

Daz puts stuff on sale all the time. PC members get 30% off, and a $5 voucher every month. And they run specials all the time.

Begining of the month I spent $3.20 and saved $96.49.

With enough money for only one subscription, I'd go with PoserWorld first. No hidden costs, for one thing. You pay your subscription, and everything's free. I get weary of trying to figure out how much the MFD for the Mil Bat is going to cost me and whether this purchase will allow me to use my "Just because" coupon.

PoserWorld is not cutting edge in quite the way DAZ is; the stuff you get there is usable for day-to-day work, like creating advertisements and illustrating business documents or medical books. Not much fad of the week stuff. (Watch the Billboard movie ratings to predict what the next bid thing as DAZyworld will be....

PoserPros and RDNA are better deals than the PClub, in that you don't have to pay an admission charge to get access to the under $5 stuff. Would you pay admission to KMart or Dillards? Let's see, that makes DAZ Costco...?

Ironic. I definitely get my money's worth with the PClub, but I think it's very unlikely I'll renew.

Just curious..... Did anyone among you recent PClub members receive a $30.00 voucher upon joining? Back then, we received this voucher as a sort of compensation for the freebie bonus pack that had former freebies and stuff received in the past.

signing up for the PC now, get's your first ten downloads for free. Doesn't work if youre already a member, I tried :( Course when I joined the first month was free.

DAZ has said that they'll eventually have another free month membership drive (I have no idea when), so you can probably wait till then to get what you want out of the $2 PClub. Overall, I'd rate the products at the PClub as being a little better than the PoserPros Club or the Real Deals at RDNA. There's less of a distinction for regular items. There's a litle over a dozen of Anton's great clothing items for Michael and Victoria (Changing Fantasy Suits, egyptian, SciFi Suits, Dresscoat Italia, Adventurers, Pop Stars, etc.), but there's been nothing new for those older figures for a while. PoserStyles doesn't have as much stuff as PoserWorld, and has frequent server outages, but is a similar deal with a one-time subscription fee for an entire library of files. Just going through freestuff, here, there's still a treasure trove of items for Mike and Vicky. There's the occasional dead link, but it's still the cheapest way to build up a library of clothing items for the figures.
