Hi, I'm looking into possibly buying "Kimshara" by 3Dream... Paticularly one of the add-on's. It says the original "Kimshara" is required in order for the add-on to work. Does anyone have this texture and can tell me why it needs the original pack? Or could I just by the add-on by itself. I hope this isn't a stupid series of questions. LOL Thanks in advance! :) ~RnRWoman~

Yes you must have Kimshara in order for the addon to work....She is available here in the Marketplace for purchase. For further reference..anytime you see an addon..it means you own the original product :)

It may be the add on looks for the original files before it does anything. That's how some DAZ updates work, at least.

I also wondered about this, I like one of the addon packs but I'm not interested in the original pack. According to the product description on the addon packs at least a head and body texture is included, isn't that all that is needed on a texture product? or maybe is some kind of advertising for the other products like in ordere to get the character you need the first pack.

ok- I don't have Kimshara (I think, lol) But looking over the parts list I see a lot of morph files- if he used some custom morphs in the original then the add on morph settings would need those. The textures should work without any problems :) Geo

I have Kimshara1 and 2. I opened the zips to see the difference. Both have V3/V2 textures and morphs. Morph 1 and morph 2, I can't see why you would need the first to use the second. They are just face morphs Packed in respective zips. There are no body morphs. 2 pack is the darker tex. Don't know if that helps, I do like the textures though.
