Is there a way to export a tree object that is created in Bryce to some of the formats that are shown in the manuel. -- my export object is grayed out is this normal? Any help will be appreciated.

Nope, only things that can be exported from Bryce, that are created in Bryce, are lattices and terrains, or previously imported obj or 3ds objects, everything else stays in Bryce.....:

Rocks can be exported too.

Trees CAN be exported, but ONLY in the native Bryce format (for trees), so you would only be able to use it in Bryce. AgentSmith

An exception to the rule? A couple of the Bryce 4 trees are mesh objects. I suppose by removing the foilage (spheres) that they could be exported.

Oh, yeah, forgot about that, there are a couple/few trees in the Create menu, that their trunks/limbs are exportable. AS
