We dont have plans to implement an All selection since its is a big drain on database resources and we have to balance site performance with available options as best we can.

Well, see, Clint, that's the problem right there. I don't have the time or the inclination to browse each category I shop from individually. It's a waste of my time and it's a major irritant to me as a customer. It would be like K-mart putting housewares in one building and electronics in another and clothing in still another building. Just more trouble than it's worth. Guess I won't be shopping here for a VERY long time after all. Damn. And I did so like the layout of this store up until now. It was so much more convienient than any of the others out there. One of these days maybe I'll figure out why y'all want to take things that are totally unique and more user friendly than anywhere else and make them just as bad as the rest of what's out there. sigh Kate

actually... K-mart does tend to seperate items according to catagory which is similar to what Renderosity is doing. The items are in the same store but you'll find all mens clothing in one area, womans in another. Then sporting goods will be in a totally seperate area of the store so you have to walk to a different isle, here you have to move your finger and go "click" on a different link. :)
