Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
I forgot to say, I think this is one of the best models I have seen for MayaDoll. When I said my Poser Pro interface goes blank I mean the whole screen is gray, all but the tool bar at the top. I can still click on all the tools at the top,but nothing happens. When I close the program it still ask if I want to save. Strange? Gremlins? skee

Have you checked the display preferences? PZ3 takes the display preferences of the creator, not yours. Anyway, it has happened to me and that was the problem. France

This is truly strange.
I don't think a PZ3 can carry the
info to turn off all the tools, though.
That info is in Poser.ini, which is
read separately. A PZ3 can set the
size of the preview window, and the
display mode (wireframe, textured, etc)
but not much else.
My first guess would be that the
Brianna character might use some odd or
undocumented P5 features that Propack
hates. Second guess: a syntax error?
Third guess: just too big for your
computer's memory?
Fourth guess: the CR2 refers to a file that isn't in the right place on your computer; perhaps a file that has the same name as one of your folders?

ockham, this is what I did...I started with the Brianna model, after changing the hair to Koz long hair, I saved the figure as a new figure , in a new folder. I then closed poser to work on something else. Re opened poser and my new figure, moved the figure into a new pose. Next i saved it off as a Pz3 file so i could work on later. Next time I tried to open the Pz3 file all I get is the gray screen that I talked about in first post. sorry to be so long winded. skee

Look for a syntax error in the PZ3, maybe a missing section or something. I think the CorrectReference program will check a PZ3... may be wrong about that. At this point, though, you'd probably save more time by just starting over!

Correct referance.. so far as I can tell.. mainly checks the texture locations and corrects them appropriately. it sounds like the pz3 dinnae finish saving, or glitched whilst in mid save. I found that happens if certain anti-virul programmes are running in the background.. you could try resaving the figure? or if it's a pose you're concerned with mainly... use the pose dots to store the pose info. there's 9 of them... so you can get a few steps away. good luck.

I have purchased Handspanstudio"s Brianna model and when I save the file as a Pz3 and try to reopen it my poser pro program goes blank. I have only the top tool bar. Has anyone else had this problem? Is anyone else using this model? This is the only Pz3 file that does this. I have tried this 7 or 8 times and it will not open. Any help? skee
