My Pose library is very big. When scrooling down to pick up a pose at the bottom of the scroll...it does not load the pose. Is there some sort of max number of items or is there a way to control this problem? Thanks Ray Van Sickler

yeah, there is a limit , and you have to rename the pose so it will be higher in the scroll column...I usually add a ! so itll go all the way to the top, and then after I use the pose I rename it again...its a pain, but then again what isnt?

The limit is 256 folders. I've had this problem ever since the release of V3. All those INJ/REM folders that I never even look in take up almost half of my useable folders in the Pose directory now that M3 and S3 also reside there. (First thing I did when I got my figures was create a 'standard' V3,M3 and S3 with all morphs injected. I've never used anything else.) My way around the lack of space was to create a new folder in my Runtime called 'Pose Archive'. Then I stripped out every non Inj/Rem Pose folder into there. I now transfer my folders between Pose and Pose Archive depending on the type of image I intend doing. So my Pose folder currently contains all the Inj/Rem folders and everything pertaining to Sci-Fi. If I decide to do a pin-up I move all the sci-fi folders to Pose Archive and for example all my lingerie folders to Pose. Its an unwieldy way of doing it but it works.

I used a program called The Rename to add _INJ and _REM at the end of the inj/rem poses (before the extension! :) )and put them into a single folder, ie instead of Expressions INJ and REM I now have just an Expressions folder. I did that for V3, M3, S3 and Freak. Btw, the limit is 256 folders in a library, then you get the screwy effect. This is in Poser 4 and ProPack, Poser 5 allows folders in folders.

Get PBooost. Your problems will be over, with a minimum amount of fuss.

See my answer here. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=1806045&Reply=1806229#7 You do not need to buy any third party solutions promoted by people with a tie to those products. You can manage your own Runtime with organization and common sense and restraint. Carolly

Hi Carolly. I wasn't trying to sell anything, just offer a freebie solution that worked for me. The Rename is FREE from the link, that's where I got it. :) Actually, checking the link I find it's been updated too.

I don't have a tie to anyone. I like PBooost. I even use it daily and for hours-long sessions on WinXP. I have a dir just for the weirdass Daz Inj/Rem files, a dir devoted to LadyLittlefox (and other toonies that slipped in when I wasn't looking), a Wyrmmaster dir... ect, ect.

Er... I am the ONLY person here with a tie to PBooost... as the author, promoter and sole merchant... and I haven't said a thing! This is an open forum... so if you hate PBooost, slag it off. If you love PBooost, extole it's virtues... it's cool. But I must make something clear, Carolly. I post under one name... it's Hogwarden. No'one else has any ties with me or any of my software. You really think I'd pay people to post fragrant comments here? I'm sure I'd get better value-for-money buying some more banners! LOL! H:))

You can invest a lot of time and energy doing things the hard way or you can buy a utility or two that will help make your life easier. Oh, and the spirit of this community is to help support fellow artists with products that do a great job. I recommend people and products that I believe in. That is my only tie to this situation.
