Subject: Any free MilHorse resources?

Okay, freestuff is not forthcoming. Are there any free milhorse resources out there yet? seems sensible to put them all in one thread :) Thanks! Lyrra

There are a few things around. Here's a couple that I've found HaiGan has done a series of poses for a 'sleeping' MilFoal - you can find a link to them via PoserPros :- http://www.poserpros.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27305 Not strickly MilHorse itself..but there are some freebie textures for the MilHorsae Western Saddle, English Saddle, some horseshoes at DAZ in their Freebies section Also someone (not sure who) has created some neck morphs to produce a more 'stallion-ish" crest on Mil Horse..plus there's an Arabian Morph somewhere as well. (sorry - my filing systems not up to saying just WHERE these ones came from :( ) Hope this is a start

The morphs are in freestuff -- but I actually ended up snagging them from that commune ya'll know. There's a bit of it around -- mostly fixes and stuff for what folks didn't like. Now that those are done, however, I think we'll start seeing some new stuff for them trickling out...

I've just gone and dug a bit deeper into what I have for milHorse..and heres a few extras DAIO has done some poses for the MilHorse ALLA has created the Arabian Morph, also several others..the stallion crests, eyelash morphs, throat morphs,a 'rams-head' morph JAN has a morph for the 'roach back' , and also stallion sex characteristics - crest, jowls. HaiGan also has a simple Foal Slip. Sorry, I still can't help with the actual links to all these.

It was an accident I swear! Just ran the cr2 through Randomiser and look what popped out! *lol* anyone want to make the headmorph to turn Ed into Bessie?

pisaacs ( ) posted Fri, 04 June 2004 at 6:31 PM

Er, "Bossie"

Ladyfyre-graphics ( ) posted Fri, 04 June 2004 at 6:49 PM

Oh my god, give it a huge bushy mane and tail and you've almost got a Thelwell pony there vbg Though for some wierd reason it reminds me of my friends labrador - it must be past bedtime..... What randomiser did you use? I'd love a MOR pose so I could use it in cartoony images g Angela

Lyrra, didn't they tell you? It's the secret Moolenium horse :D

Lyrra ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 12:16 AM

Alla I used my Randomiser program in the MP, sorry its a commercial product. I'm making a definition file for other people to use with randomiser to make horses. I don't mind sharing this MOR though lol There's a kind of horse that looks like that? good gods! the things humans do in the name of fashion. I was really surprised to find no head shaping morphs .. is there a morph set not included in the bundle or something? I'm putting together some MOR poses for either freestuff here or at PW. I'll include Bossie and a bunch of others. But not Goliath .. I'm keeping him for a project :) Lyrra

Not flesh-and-blood fortunately - they'd make triffids like good choices for house plants.

ok, I took advantage of the link posted earlier to read up on the Mil Horse. The Post on the 2nd by Skondris really bothers me, on a personal level. Business wise I can understand stuff, and I agree that a need to compromise is in order, but I read it as not allowing for alteration to the mesh in the course of fixing things. So much for compromise. The last element also bothers me, though I do not see dark motives behind every statement. The next milhorse being free of the limitations of Poser could also involve the developments within Poser itself -- there is a chance that some of the elements will change within the program. Welcome changes, if so. However, as half full as my cup may be, I still prefer to say it's somewhere in the middle there and note that the sentence, and previous statments and actions, truly do tend to indicate they will not produce the next DAZ horse for poser. A slip of the tongue, perhpas, but not one easily spun by the capable handlers, and unlikely to be forgotten. Certainly not by me.
