Hi I am working on this texture and soon all my other free stuff will be available again. This texture is 2000x2000. Rendered with a bump map. No postwork. I call him Giordano, but if anyone have a better name for it, please tell me. ----------------------------------- Rockadon

This looks absolutely great! I'll be watching for it.

Thank you cedarwolf I forgot to mention it's for mike 1/2 ---------------------------- Rockadon

Even Better!! I just can't justify the expense of M3 or V3. I can hardly wait.

Me too! I'm working on a little something now with your last one; hopefully have it in the gallery soon. Thank you very much for thinking of us M1 & 2 hold-outs.

I still use Michael 1 and 2 because I don't like Michael 3. Mike 1 has a much more masculine face I think :)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Same here. David looks promising, though. I might get him, eventually; would be good for when I need a character with a blend of Old Mike's masculinity and New Mike's other traits.

You are doing a body texture too aren't you?

gtrdon ( ) posted Sun, 06 June 2004 at 2:27 PM

Would you mind sharing what renderer(P4,FFp,FFd,other) you are using and if there any special settings and lighting that work best.
I like the way the hair texture for the beards and moustaches come out on your samples.
Thanks

gtrdon, this is just poser 4 render engine :) it's quite easy what I did, I used the white poser light and changed it and addes several lights to it. I will put it up in the package too. :) one can still do lots of things with the old poser 4 render engine. I will also put up the color scheme I used for the skin and eye color so it will look much more realistic. What also helps for close up renders is to set the face camera to 250.00 it will add to the realism :) I'm not sure about a body texture. I'll see what I can come up with :)

gtrdon, please use these settings, I always use them on my characters (vicky, steph mike, lilin etc)

Another fantastic goodie for the Poser crowd. Thank you much. I can hardly wait to get him.

Thanks for sharing your settings These setting don't seem to work on P5. If I set the reflective color to white it washes out the face map with white. Maybe I need to load it into P4 save it and reopen it in P5 and see it makes the adjustments.

Byrdie ( ) posted Sun, 06 June 2004 at 7:35 PM

I'm having similar problems but alas, I do not have p4 to try that trick in. Suggestions?

Tashar59 ( ) posted Sun, 06 June 2004 at 9:18 PM

Great looking texture. For P5, try using a "-" setting with the white. I do this a lot for the ambient for eyes, nostrils and so on. The same for Specular. I don't have much luck saving material settings in P4 to use in P5. They don't seem to convert right.

Casette ( ) posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 12:29 AM

God, I need this texture...

Thanks for a body texture...just a matching color wopuld be ok...it's just that this great head looks strange on the standard Michael 2 dark skin tone....

yeah I know those settings don't work in P5 :( I haven't figured a good method for P5 yet. I often render in P4:) see here a new example with moustache;)
