Hi guys, after aaaaages of inactivity, I'm again back to Bryce. I'm reading Endymion of Dan Simmons (a super book) and so I decided to trying to reproduce one of his world This palace is a sort of residence for a Buddhist nation, it's still a wip, it has to be hanged on a wall of a mountain, lot of things do do etc.. (there are 1000+ cubes 'till now... let's see at the end) What do you think? If there's any Buddhist here, what does never miss in a buddhist temple? and moreover.. any advice regarding the material? wood of course but which one? Thanks in advance Simon

Looks good to me, can't wait to see it textured.

That is some superb modeling Vasquez. I am not a Buddhist so I can't offer the info you are looking for. But to me it is looking very fine so far. 8)

thank you guys, too nice.. I can't decide: I was thinking about a light wook for all structures, or something more colored like roof made of some red wood and beams more yellow wood... hmmmm...

Buddhist temples always seem to be very colourful, with prayerflags etc. If you have a look on the attached link, there's some great pics of the inside of temples and monasteries (access them from inside the panorama)

A beautiful model.

AS the problem is that due to Bryce I can do only boolean modelling now... I've tried something else like rhino or wings, but I feel comfortable with spheres and cubes... till it works... ;)

A little update, but the way is long..... Trust me you don't want to see the wireframe. I'm starting to feel a bit like Humorix....(without his class of course)

Awesome, simply wonderful! I can't wait to see the finished version. As far as materials, I'm thinking stone and wood combinations? Nobody mentioned stone yet, but a building THAT size might be rock?

Awesome modelling!! Only the steps on the upper left corner look way to huge compared to the rest of the model. But everything else is fantastic!

They white wash all the buildings, use red paint on all the wood(pillars, trim) and red on the main innerpart of the temples. Those yellow buildings house all the Bhudda statues.
