Subject: Growing Hair in Poser 5 and Importing it to Bryce

After I make my character and grow hair or a beard in poser 5 and import it into Bryce 5 my character is bald. What am I doing wrong?? Can anyone help me out with this? This also happens when I use Dynamic Hair. Anyone?

It'll always happen with Dynamic hair..if it shows up in poser as 'hashmarks'..also, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've noticed that if I don't export 'universe' when exporting to .obj (you are using that, right?..;), that the hair may go, or sometimes even the clothes..:|
now you can find some older hair props, or even stock Poser hair (it's a little more forgiving because you can scale 'solid' hair around to fit the head, even though it's not as 'cool' as dynamic hair. There's a Beard prop set out there, might be in freestuff, I think it's Greylights', but I could be wrong. Do a search in freestuff for 'beard', there's 'wizard hair' as part of the pack as well..used it in my last pic.
I don't have Poser 5 (just 3 and 4), so I'm not sure of the details on how it works, but you'll see more erudite answers after this one..oh, btw, look in Freestuff under utilities for 'grouper', which makes transporting to Bryce a lot easier..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

You cannot export Poser hair to Bryce because it does not create an obj model. The best hair to import into Bryce is Kozaburo's at http://digitalbabes2.com/. He's got all sorts and many people have made varying textures for them. 8) Catlin

Poser5 dynamic hair and live dynamic cloth cannot (yet) be exported form POser5. Use a regualr transparany mapped ahir for best effect. For dynamic cloth. once you have your final shape spawn a morph target and reomve the simulation to be able to export the draped cloth.

Poser5 dynamic hair and live dynamic cloth cannot (yet) be exported form POser5. It actually can, but not without the aid of a plugin, and depends on the application. Vue supports P5 dynamic hair and cloth via Mover 5. 3dsMax and Maya via BodyStudio. Both of course are extra $$$, but if you need to bring your dynamic animations in P5 to any of these apps, it might be worth it.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

My PoserMan exporter can export dynamic hair from Poser using Python. Dynamic cloth exports just fine with the regular OBJ export. The OBJ files also include the guide hairs of dynamic hair, but Bryce doesn't understand the line primitive in OBJ files (so far, the only program I found that understands lines in OBJ files is Amapi).
