Looks cool, Brent - The Mailbox at the end of the universe! It is fun to have to think so quickly....

Very cool, Marlon! Is that what mailboxes look like in Deutschland? Leider bin ich nie in Deutschland gefahren. (Sorry if that was horrible -- it's been 20 years since I studied German.) Anyway, very cool. Hope folks are having fun with this!

Vielen Dank! I appreciate the lesson. And I studied German because it was offered in my high school (as was Spanish, but the dialect spoken here in Arizona is very annoying to my ears) and I had a German record by Kraftwerk and wanted to know what they were saying.... Bis sper!

Chip, That is the COOLEST reason I have EVER heard for taking a class. Was it "Computerworld"?

AzChip ( ) posted Fri, 20 October 2000 at 4:09 PM

No, it was even earlier. It was "Autobahn" in 1976. (Wound up having a pretty full collection of Kraftwerk albums over the years. Haven't replaced them with CD's though....) I spent four years in High School and a year in college taking German classes. I don't think it was time wasted, either. Having a second (albeit not much of an international) language helped me when I lived in South America, because I already knew basics of a different language when I went to learn Portuguese.
