Subject: Start tips needed for n00b

Poser 5 showed up late yesterday and I only had time to install and be intimidated by the GUI. So if anyone has recommendations for books/tutorials that are especially good for complete novices (with no 3D experience beyond Bryce) I'd very much appreciate it. TIA.

Search this forum for Dr Geep and you will find many good tutorials.

Poser is very addictive! Prepare to become an addict. Prepare for the inevitable day when you find yourself in a gutter somewhere begging for change and saying "I used to be rich but now Renderosity and DAZ have it all!"

Dr. Geep Tuts are very good, and also just hanging around the forum here and checking out tips and tricks will help a lot. But don't forget to read the manual too. ;-) I know it sounds so obvious, but you'll get an understanding of the basics much quicker that way, even though the manual itself leaves a lot of stuff out, and once in a while mixes things up. But again, that's what the forums will help you with. :-)

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.
