Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
When I opened the Obj file in Ray Dream I scaled it up. (I tested this by saving a test obj file and importing it back into Poser and It looked okay) But I guess when you create a character in Poser the Scaleing takes effect. Because my chracter is there it's just gigantic if I turn down the Scale in Poser on the body I can find it but it's still pretty big. Sorry to take your time. I'll redo the character without scaling it in Raydream. Then it's onto the joy of joint parameters. (I'm hoping to get by with the prameters from the original character) Thanks, Thorgrim

Hi Guys, I've been working on making a Hires mesh for Zogote's Muscle Man and I'm having a problem. I exported the original character as and Obj file and used Uvmaper to create groups for the inner mouth parts and nipples etc. (I got this tip from bloodsong, it alows me to recreate texture maps for them when I'm done subdividing the mesh). I then opened it in RayDream 5 and selected the parts I wanted Hires used the subdivide command on them. I saved the character as an Obj file again. I loaded the character into Uvmaper and created the mapping I wanted and assigned the parts I had grouped before back to their original group. (i.e. teeth assigned to head) I then removed the ":1" that poser added to each parts name. Then I imported it into Poser and it looked fine. I tested it by creating a prop from it and that worked fine. I went into hierarchy editor but did not find any groups and select use standard hierarchy. It did not produce any of the body parts at all. I checked the grouping tool the groups were there. I used the PHIbuilder program and created PHI file and coverted it to Hierarchy and it created a character in my library but when I select it my character seems to be invisible. I can select all the body parts from the menu but I don't see anything. Does anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
