Subject: Light from body openings fix

Hi All I don't know if you have covered this but is there a fix for the light that comes out of orifices such as noses vaginas etc. or does this need correcting in postwork Regards Keith

Well yes and no. For Poser 4, there is a no-glow-nostril prop, It's available at Morphworld. And then there's Poser 5 with a better rendering system (firefly) - if you use raytraced shadows, your nostrils (and other openings) will be dark. I've never heard of a no-glow-vagina prop. And I'm not sure I'd like to know about it either LOL

Light coming from a vagina? That WOULD be something to see, though, wouldn't it? And it'd make a gynecologist's job so much easier.... ;-) bonni

things to fix glowing nostrils (and other body openings) in P4 and P5:

  • Turn on shadows. Necessary.

  • Adjust the shadow lite cams. Dr Geep has a tutorial on that. Heavily recommended to try this first.

  • Increase the shadow map size. Do this only if the above fails.

What you can additionally do in P5:

  • Decrease the shadow min bias (try 0.2 for a start).
  • Switch to ray traced shadows. Ray traced shadows have their own disadvantages, but glowing nostrils is not one of them.

My Gawd, there are vaginas and anuses in Poser? What will they think of next? ROFLMAO... and it isn't glowing!

lesbentley ( ) posted Tue, 15 June 2004 at 7:52 PM

Of course there are vaginas in Poser! How else would we get the next generation of Poser characters? And of course vaginas glow (a soft pink pulsing light), that's why we men are attracted to them like moth's to a flame!

If only Curious Labs could use the Luxigraphic Vaginostrilic Technology to create point lights for Poser. Oh what a world. BTW - the trademark is a joke. Don't waste your time trying to sue me.
