Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 21 1:30 pm)
I have it, it's excellent. I use it in P4/PP with no problems, however, I seem to recall that there might be some problems with rendering it in Firefly mode in P5. If anyone can help out with that, please do. If you get it, be aware that it can also be used to simulate a close-cropped hair prop. Just make all the upper layers transparent and leave the skullcap alone. I hope Neftis will be making some hair for David. All her hair products look great.

I saw somewhere a little trick to render the Mihai Hair in Poser5... I didn't test it... Hope it helps... (and works!)What was recommended if you don't have UVMapper is: you could do the same without UVM: - import the object in Poser (all boxes unchecked) - select this object and open the GroupEditor - now, do for all parts: New Group .. include material (choose it from the list) - when you have done this for all 4 parts: spawn props - close the GE Now export (with the standard settings) the 5 parts (select them from the hierachie window) as a single object. You should have a re-organized new object for this hair. Everything else is the same as described above
Hi All, I am trying to use it in Poser5 since DAZ gave it away. Now am trying to use. There is a supposed fix posted on the DAZ site but I tried it. It involves doing as mstudios suggest but I tried that exactly as they instructed and it still locks up the renderer. There was a menu that popped up at the end of the procedure that was not mentioned in the fix.....there where a couple of boxes checked and the rest unchecked....there was no mention of what those settings should be. The choices where something like ....names polys as separate ......name polys as one.....I can't recall and I'm not trying it right now but if anyone can help the hair does look really nice....I would love to use it..... Regards, TIMMYLYNN

Here is a tutorial for it (runtimeDNA). I used it and it work fine !!!Quote - What I don't understand is why the merchant has not come out with a FIX for the hair. This is actually a BUG in the mesh and it is sloppy modeling practice. The fact that it works in Poser 4 is not proof of anything except that Poser 4's simple rendering engine is more tolerant of sloppy geometry. [end quote] There is a patch (I got it from the author). The real issue is an issue with DAZ. Sigh. Right now I just render in P4 as the patch is still pretty slow.

Anyone have this hair for M3, and is it a problem to render? Thanks Niles
