Subject: Cant save V3 face morphs in the expressions tab of P5.

When ever i create a figure using V3 and use maybe 5 morphs for the face, i save it, and then suddenly ALL the morph dials show up. To work around this i tried saving the face in the expressions tab but that doesnt work either. I just click on the head i want to save, then click "+" on the expressions tab and click ok, ok but it doesnt save any information. ??? Please help me find out what i am doing wrong. Thank you, -mofo

The expressions tab in Poser 5 is just like the face tab in Poser 4. It only saves dial settings. You will need to inject all the morphs before using the expression file then it will work.

You're not doing anything wrong. It's a "feature" of the way the 3 series millenium figures are set up with inj and rem poses. You can't really use Poser (5 or 4) to save expressions for 3 series figures. Instead, you have to buy some software from DAZ. It's called INJection Poser Builder. If you're a Platinum Club member, it only costs $2.

If you save a face file that includes injected morphs, you have to inject those morphs before it will work again. Or you can save the character containing the morphs as a cr2.

An alternative is to use DialCleaner (available free at DAZ). What that does is to remove (permanently - so use with caution!) any unused morphs from millenium figures.. Advantage: that long list of unused morphs no longer shows up. Disadvantage: Only sensible to use when you KNOW a figure has all the morph-channels that you need for that specific character. And NEVER, EVER use it on the base figure! (PS - I'm not sure if there are separate versions for the different millenium characters or if there's a specific version for each.) Cheers, Diolma

Um, that's not really correct...Dial Cleaner doesn't do anything permanently. It does remove the unused morph dials from a cr2 and pz3 but, if you load then save that same file through Poser again, the unused dials will be back and you have to run it through Dial Cleaner again. The unused dials won't return as long as you don't save the file through Poser.
