Subject: Hey, where did half of my ratings go?

Hi! Half of my picture ratings are set to N/A! Why has this happened? Has it happened to more of you? /Jacko

There were many complaint about the anonymous ratings not really being anonymous, since the average rating is shown after the first person rates the image. It was changed so that when three people have rated the image, the average rating will start being displayed.

another great idea! I think the whole thing, comments should be anonymous too. -DL

I'll look into creating more options for the author when he uploads an image so we don't force anything on anyone. They will be free to choose whatever options they wish.

I dont think thats a good idea. This community is, as I see it, built on honesty and respect between fellow artists. To make a comment on a picture and not having the guts to sign it with your name or handle is probably not a comment worthy this community. I mean, I for one wouldnt like some person being able to rate my picture with a comment like: -"You suck, you punk ass lamer!" ...and no handle. Not because I care about people calling me... whatever.. but because the community looses its seriousness. But thats just my opinion. Live well.. /Jacko

Jacko, the options will be on the artist's side, not the rater/commenter's side. The artist would be able to choose how ratings/comments would work on his image. Allow/disallow, anonymous/not. That's what I was proposing to look into.

OK... That might be good... :-)
