"in an effort to revive the Bryce community"? hmmmmmm.....did we die or something.I havent seen as good bryce images as the ones everyone is starting to churn out now.As for daz maybe buying bryce,I could see it,but only because they seem to be going after the profits Renderosity is currently enjoying from the marketplace.Or daz sees that the bryce engine is far better than thier poserlike app,it just needs "in program" posing. Not that it will happen, but if DAZ does buy out the bryce app& make it "handle" all "DAZ" products,Poser will surely die out as a result.I kinda want to see it in a wierd way.A new forum though, might be fun to leave behind the whole hot 20 thing, but I wont support another bryce forum unless it has the same or more people than this one.
I eat babies.
Of course it wont replace the forum here, Rendo is Rendo and if ild have to choose between forums, this one would be my first choise, but considering all the Bryce sites that have shut down recently, i welcome the idea. The fact that theyre asking for suggestion from Bryce users is, IMO, a good sign. Im curious of what their planning though. I mean, why would DAZ create a Bryce forum if they havent got some plans for the app? Either way, what do we have to loose by supporting this?

You're are secret inside man on this I guess,I'm sure we will support it, if its done well(its so sad that bryce sites have been dying). It just raises some questions.I can see them supporting bryce, only because their products get so much use in the program,But to go to you(probably the most famous bryce artist at the moment)it seems like they are doing something big.Everybody wants your brain Rochr...LOL!
I eat babies.
I think Brycers may buy a lot of Daz products to use in Bryce.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Hehe, DAZ just got crap loads of publicity, so they can't complain too much ;)

I would join every Bryce forum that I could...But by the time I get done reading all the E-Bots I would be a 1000 years old...Daz knows that alot of their products are FINAL RENDERED in Bryce and other software outside of Poser/DS and would open up alot of $ doors to them and help boost DS user base to,NOW if they were to BUY the Whole Program(Including Erics Original)then they could really open up their doors to literarly Millions of dollars by being able to import Daz Studio content right into Bryce like animations and maybe they might even build in a LOW POLY modeler...Who knows I wish I was a BUG on DA wall listenin...HMmmm maybe a pic is due, been awhile since I did one...
The following was posted over at DAZ earlier this evening which may go to explain all the blabbering that's been going on over there about secret happenings and whatnot. As yet I don't know if this is for real but it's much better than any of the other possible develpements folk have been suggesting, although I do like the idea of DAZ buying Bryce. 8) Catlin June 23, DAZ, a privately held Utah based company has been awarded a major multi-million dollar contract to provide 3D characters and production expertise to the next major trend in home intertainment- "Game TV". "Game TV" will allow a blending of the popularity of 3D computer games with televison production, enabling more cable and satellite channels to be filled with more and widely varied visual content with much faster "turn-on-a-dime" production schedules. But most importantly, the home viewer will be able to electronically "vote" and control via keypads the exact course of each show and decide which characters remain and which are "killed off". The initial software development contract awarded to DAZ is from a "Game TV" media consortium which includes SONY, Microsoft, CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and Time-Warner Cable. Plans for "Game TV" include "Reality Shows", "Star Search Shows" and shows developed specifically around existing comic hero characters and current popular 3D games. Also of great interest to television networks is the replacement of existing expensive news gathering operations with virtual news people. This will be especially useful in dangerous war-zone conditions where virtual news people can report "live" while actual location imagery is aquired by miniturized hovering drone aircraft the size of small birds. Expensive death and injury insurance policies will be eleminted as well as the requirement for teams of body guards. Current real news reporters and anchors will be phased out over the next two years but dangerous war zone reporting contracts will be terminated over the next 90 days. The initial development contract amount awarded to DAZ has not yet been announced, but DAZ CEO Dan Farr has stated that the contract will "secure the future of DAZ FOREVER" and that the Utah company plans to hire 500 new employees within the next 90 days to work on rigging, texturing and other software aspects of the new project expected to grow into further contracts valued at $125 million over the next two years.
500 people !! thats a lot of hirings.
And killings... and votings... and drones... and.. lol, pretty funny story.

Dont know if youve gotten one already, but ive just recieved this: "Rudolf, Here at DAZ Productions, we are creating an online Bryce forum, in an effort to revive the Bryce community. We also have plans to create a gallery of choice Bryce images, and even run some contests in our store. As you know, Bryce is an amazing 3D resource. We feel that not enough has been done to support the community that has been so loyal to the program. We would like to invite you to be involved in this process. We need forum moderators, gallery images and people who are just plain enthusiastic about Bryce. Please contact me via phone or e-mail, listed below, if you are interested in helping to spearhead this exciting project, or if you have any suggestions for this project. Your involvement would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Melissa Vanderlaan Marketing Operations Coordinator DAZ Productions"
