Subject: Where can I find Hindu god figures ?

Hi All, I have become a little stuck. I was wanting to pose some figures of Hindu gods (Krishna, Shiva etc) and was wondering if there are anywhere I might be able to find them? I have tried a few places to no avail. Thanks in advance, -Ross

I think if you took the head of an Elephant, then maybe another character, you could do Ganesh (Gamesh? all I know about is Rama, and that from AC Clarke..;) I don't want to insult anyone's religion or anything, but you could possibly texture the skin of one of the regular characters blue (or not..I'm on thin ice here)..
there was a set of multiple-armed characters out in Freestuff here from a while back, but I don't remember what they were called..I think they were for Poser 4. Actually trying to help, for what it's worth..
actually, that might be a worthy cause for some of those famous modelers who stop by here..try a Google search with your preferred deity's name and Poser, with "" around both words..maybe something will turn up..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Somewhere is Vicky with 4-6-8 arms, this was my attempt with Kali.

I'm listening Sixus1 (love your stuff), but how do you do "a" Hindu god/ess, when they have such a large, beautiful, interesting, artistic and differant pantheon. How bout a series :-)))) Strixowl

Well....I was thinking that we would do a figure that has a choice of human, Elephant,Man/Monkey, boar heads; up to 10 arms; blue and white skin; collection of hair, clothes, jewerly and props.

I know that this one figure won't cover the entire pantheon, but it is a start :) It isn't so far along now that ideas or suggestions can't still be made at this point.

I've done Saraswati (Goddess of Art), Ganesha and Shiva - the pics are in my gallery. I did them with regular poser figures, plus extra arms (made from poser figures with a tutorial I downloaded), and an Elephant head for Ganesha. Fortunately, I have a collection of prints of Hindu religious icons, and I use those as the inspiration when I'm doing my figures, so as to be sure to get all the 'attributes' correct.
