Billy Mercer (Ironhart) passed away. Shook me. Thought I would let people know about the post in the Showcase forum as many may have passed it by.

Thanks for posting here... I never visit the Showcase forum and would not have gotten the word. It is a great loss to the artistic community... Billy was one of the "good guys". My prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

I emailed back and forth with Billy several times. I always enjoyed hearing from him and consider him to be a great guy. He and his family will be in my prayers. Jay

I didn't know the gent, sadly. Judging by the reactions of people here, he was a very nice person to know. I'm sorry that I won't get the chance to get to know him now. My condolences to his family and friends.

Thank you dialyn for posting the thread to ironharts tribute page. I was devastated by the news of Billys passing. May he be looking down on us now, smiling at the knowledge of how many lives he has touched, and how much he was loved and respected. Dee-Marie

Ironhart's passing is very sad but at the same time it is also an important message to us all. Never forget your health is more important to you than buying that next toy for poser, you can live without the toy you can't live without your health, look after yourself as you only get one chance at life. My deepest sympathies go to Ironhart's family & to all his many friends.

That is a shocking sudden tragedy. I remember him well. My condoleances to the friends and family.
