I have been learning Bryce for the last month and now I am into Poser. I see all sorts of downloads for Vicki. Does that mean they only work for "Vicki" or can I use them for the Poser characters also. Need to learn before I purchase. Soooooooooo much to learn. Thank You Rnlobo new mexico

They are only for Victoria, whichever flavour is mentioned, V1 and V2 are the same when it comes to characters and textures, morphs and clothes. Please don't check Nudity and Violence unless your post actually contains it/them, or Ill be forced to drag out my picture of a naked gorilla with a machine gun.

Checking Nudity and Violence flags keeps people that might be able to help you from looking at your post. It also keeps people (like me) from helping just because of the flags checked just to say "look at me!"

hmm..anything made for Vickie fits Vickie.. tho there's at least 4 versions I know of (Vicky Lo-res, then 1, 2, 3) and countless variations. I think Vicky Lo and 1 can wear the same things..2 and 3 are different, so they don't perfectly work. Mike stuff for Mike Lo-res, 1 and 2 are interchangeable, tho Mike 3 may not work. It's a constant struggle to figure what thing fits what model, most of the creators are kind enough to put in that all-important word 'for'..;)
You can fudge some things, like hair, some bulky clothing items, etc., but getting a good fit either means getting the right clothing for the character, or getting the Tailor (available in Freestuff, or Marketplace..or at least it used to be in Freestuff..;) and altering the items.

Thanks to all who replyed...Sorry about the wrong checks...I didn't even realize I did it...I fill out so many of these forms that it becomes so automatic... In regard to your answers is there no place then to pick up downloads for the basic Poser characters?

V1 and 2 aren't the same as far as morphs are concerned, if you mean characters based on the supplied morphs: V2 is effectively a big morph pack for V1, and so characters that use V2 morphs will give the "some information does not apply" error and won't look right. Brand new morphs are however interchangeable.

There are a lot of downloads for the ordinary poser characters, you can find quite a few here in freestuff and in a lot of other poser sites. If you have poser 5 then you should look for things for don and judy and will and penny too.

ellocolobo - I used poser for about a year and a half before I got Vickie, plenty of stuff out there for posette (P4 woman, took a while to figure that out). Don't know about Judy or Don (I'm still using P4). Just search the free stuff, and forums here for posette. There are some posette only sites out there, you can find links in the forum.
