DAMN!!! Yet another tragic loss...I loved Creepyclowns website...such wonderful free models. This is indeed a very sad day :( Condolences to all family & friends.

Yes, Christina Bartsch, who used to be a regular on the Bryce and Poser newsgroups told everyone about it on the Bryce newsgroup. I passed it along to the Poser newsgroup. Don was what I would call an online "friend". He was a very encouraging person and I know he got a kick out of seeing his most famous creation, Creepy Clown, being used (and abused) in other peoples renders. For those of you who may not know, Don liked his cigarettes and I have a strong feeling that may have contributed to his untimely death. His artwork always had just the right touch of both realism and illustration and it would be a very hard style to duplicate. He was always modest about his own talents but I'm sure he knew how good his artwork was. He, along with Yamato and Kozaburo, were my main inspiration for Poser/Bryce artwork. It won't feel the same in either the Poser or Bryce newsgroup without him. He'll be sorely missed.

Oh, folks, this is sad news indeed. Mr. Tatro was a very imaginative and talented man. My trips through the Bryce galleries here and at 3Dcommune were often taken because of what image by Don Tatro I might find in them. Humorous, ironic, smart, marvelously and seemingly effortlessly executed. Tsk, what a shame that output's come to an end. But I'm thankful he was here at all. My heartfelt condolences to his family and fans. David J

Don will certainly be sadly missed my me as well as many others. It was Don's work that got me interested in both Bryce & Poser. Don was very instrumental in getting me over the newbie hump in using and enjoying both programs. I enjoyed my daily check of AB3DP NG just to see what Don dreams up. Gone but certainly not forgotten. My heartfelt condolences to Don's family and friends. DR

Sadly, another highly creative vision silenced much too early and way before his time. This is indeed an incredible shock. I was quite familiar with his art and only recently had begun to know him via sitemail.

I pray he is in a better place and my heart goes out to his family.

It certainly is a bad weekend for the 3D world. I've never talked to Don, but I do think he was one of the most overlooked, yet imaginative artists out there and of course, everyone in 3D knows the famed Creepy clown. Before coming to Renderosity, I used to hang out on the newsgroups and knew of Creepy from there, but never knew that he was the creator until I discovered Rosity.

He will also certainly be missed and I hope that Rosity will honor him as they have done with Ironhart and Dan Davis. My condolences to his family and friends.

This is very sad news Don and I have known each other for years and I had considered him a friend. He helped me so much when I first started out using Bryce. His Creepy the clown grew on you as everyone at the alt.binaries.3d news group can attest. He will be surely missed and my prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends. SndCastie

All my condolences for the family of Mr. Tatro like to all his friends! I am really upset loss of these 2 men, of which I did not know. I imagine that they were to be two people with a large heart. What I will say now must make us a reflection! It is the moment this to return account which sometimes one does not make attention with only one makes like comments on a person here on rosity! That can wound so much but I want to come to the goal! If one day you discover that this person is in fact very nice and that it becomes your friend which you will make so thereafter it fall sick or dies? Think there here one is supposed to be the "COMMUNITY" for me that wants to say a family. Break the barriers of the languages and countries the Web are supposed to bring us closer! Pay attention to those which you like and with those which to perhaps develop a great friendship! Please take care of you and say how much you love people who surround you! Sincerely! Wildflowers

I considered Don a friend as we had a long term association at the Poser newsgroup. I prefer not to think of him as gone... but rather that he is out there observing first hand the great depth of space he put in his pictures. Don was a gentleman and a scholar as well as a gifted artist... he will be sorely missed by all who kniew him.

For those of you who want to pay your respects to Don, head over to the Creepy Clown website and scroll to the bottom of the page. There's a guestbook there you can sign. Also be sure to check out the artwork there and I guarantee you won't be sad anymore. I'm in the "Over 50" club BTW. Look for Ken McCarthy. The Creepy Clown website has to be one of the most humourous sites on the Internet.

I will truly miss his being around, his images, his words and his friendship... We will never know how many renders he would've been able to make with that bridge... I thought it depended on his inspiration... and never expected it depended on the length of his life... Sil
