In 3DUP.com they have 9 models in hi-res, with textures, and free. The models are in format 3DS, MAX and LWO. The models are: Athene, Boxer Dog, German Field Artillery, FockeWulf 189A (a plane of WWII), Laboratory Rat (amazing model), Mercedes S600, Panzer V Ausf G, Sail Dock Ship San Juan, Seahorse (amazing). If you could make this models poseable, at least the Boxer, the laboratory rat and the Seahorse, for use in poser, you save a lot of money, or not? Greetings Poser People !!

Buy his complete set on CD. It is an incredible value!

What's the best D/L format for Poser use and also Bryce?

Cage ( ) posted Fri, 20 October 2000 at 10:00 PM

Go with the 3DS format. Max can only be opened by 3D Studio Max. You could probably convert the LWO, but Poser will import the 3DS directly.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

I contacted them about getting permission to make the models usable in Poser. I told them I would give them full credit for the model but all I was going to do was reorder the groupings so it worked in Poser, here is their reply: Dear PM, It's no possible to redistribute these models to others persons by a different resource or web, newsgroup or mailing list. The use is for own work and nobody can give away any of these models individually or as part of a Collection or Web Page of any kind The exact terms are... All models are DeEspona Infografica. You may use these models royalty-free in your own work, but you may not resell or give away any of these models individually or as part of a Collection or Web Page of any kind without prior written permission from DeEspona Infografica. By using these mesh objects you and your company explicitly agree with these terms and conditions. You must understand if you redistribute these models you are violating the copyright. Sorry and apologize, but it's the reality. Anyway, thank you very much for your email and enjoy these models only for you and your work. Sincerely, I'm not bitching or anything but just letting people know these models cannot be reposted here as Poser props.

INFOGRAFICA is a really great company offering the best 3D models I have seen anywhere, and at very low prices. I think we should all respect their copyrights.

Well I asked them if I could use Maz's Mover program: Me:****************** Thanks for the reply. I do have a suggestion that might be viable. We use a package called Mover to distribute meshes in the Poser community. We can't distribute the real meshes that zygote distributes with poser but they have approved this method. Basically, Mover is a delta file creator that requires the original file as the key. I would create a delta file from the free model off your site and distibute that freely giving you credit. Whomever downloads my file MUST have the original free mesh downloaded from your site to unlock the delta file or it is useless to them. This way I can make the changes necessary for the model to work in poser yet the user must come to your site to get the free model. Anyway, if you don't want to do this then thanks for the free models. They are very nice. >>> Dear PM, this is a good idea... If you create that delta, and the people need to download the models from http://3dup.com, so you aren't violating any copyright statement. So, it's a brilliant idea... You have our agreement to do it. Please, inform us later about the URLs and other info when you have done these Poser/Delta files. Sincerely, =========================== ...
