Subject: Partly OT How do you change the time?

How do you change the time when you are here at renderosity? The time I have set is gmt-6 and that is no use because I should use gmt time, I checked my profile but you can`t change it there.

AFAIK you can't. They're just listing the GMT-6 for your convenience, so that you can do the math. They're showing server time for the Renderosity server somewhere in the US (Tennessee I've heard, but I'm not sure) Your GMT-6 makes you on CET like myself, which is GMT+1, so we're 7 hours ahead of Renderosity time here in most of Europe.

ernyoka here it is gmt time (not plus 1). I thought you could change the time because I know that in some other forums you can set how you want the time to be displayed, at least when you first join up with them.

Hmm if you're on GMT I don't know why it's listed as GMT-6, coz it's what it says on my screen too, and I am on CET, GMT+1. Of course you could say I'm on GMT right now due to Daylights Savings Time, but since Greenwich aong with the rest of the UK also has Daylights savings time, they're STILL one hour behind the rest of Europe :o) I don't know if Renderosity's server also operates on Daylights savings time. You can change your timezone in most (if not all) phpBB forums, but since Rosity is running on Bondware and not phpBB, you can't here. At least they tell us how much they're behind the real world ;o)

As far as I know, you can't change the time here at Renderosity. I find it confusing myself, as it's 17.38 for me (GMT) and 11:36 CST (GMT-6) rosity time. All challenges, contests and sales etc... here run on rosity time if that's any help. Shoshanna

Neat. I am in the Central Time Zone US. I never noticed the time on this site before. Maybe I should pay better attention. Kristta

Re post#4: "...so we're 7 hours ahead of Renderosity time here in most of Europe." Does that mean I can view my graphics 7 hours before I post them?

I think it's also known as Zulu time..which used to crack me up on Jag, where the time was always 5-6 hours off..our head offices are in the Uk, so I just deal with it..;)
