Yes Poserworld has some suitable clothing for Mike 1&2 Cavalry style shirts and other classic Cowboy clothes 8th Wisconsin Sgt (about right time period I think) Captain Alabama Cavalry, 1862 generic Military sets (but more 20th C I think) assorted clothing in the correect styles for the various female figures as well. Steve has a thing for uniforms :) Military history nut you know. And yes, Poserworld is a subscription site ... I suggest you check out the new pdf catalog before subscribing, just so you get an idea whats there.

Start with basic clothing. Paint it blue. Add a gold stripe down the side of the pants. Look for freestuff props, as noted above, that will finish the outfit. There's even a bandana that will work for you on one of the pages (sorry, don't remember where I found it, just that I know it's out there).

Blondie9999, who sells some very good poser clothes via DAZ, has just uploaded to DAZ a late 1800's cavalry uniform with a number of different styles (different ranks), insignia, etc. for M3. I don't think it's actually on sale yet, as they are still doing the 'behind the scenes' stuff with it, but it should be available very soon. I've seen a preview - it's impressive.
