DAZ does not want nor do they officially support multiple runtimes. Search here for "Geep" and read his tutorials about where poser files go. Also, use the link provided -- it will take you to the FAQ area for Poser here at renderosity. On to the meat of your issue: The files do not "want" to create their own little runtime file. The standard convention for supplying things is a zip that has the standard poser hierarchy in place. To install stuff, you find the folder you installed Poser to (the one where the Poser.exe files is located) and you unzip the files to that folder. What that will do is put all the files in the right place. This is contained in the readmes for most of the purchased stuff. It also applies to the DAZ installers -- and DAZ always supplies installers. If it's a mess you don't like, then the only options you have are to move it all manually (such fun!) or to wipe it out and start again. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&FAQ=Ythou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. I'm fairly new but this might be helpful to you if you're dealing with zips. I was very confused as to how to extract them to the correct location, and very nervous about putting them in the "correct place". Most downloadable files have their own "Runtime" instructions which will see that the files are extracted to the correct place. So... 1) Create a "Temp" folder somewhere you can easily locate in your computer. 2) Run Winzip and extract the files to your "Temp" folder. 3) (Shut Winzip down) Double click on your "Temp" folder, and there should be a "Runtime" folder inside. 4) Right click the "Runtime" folder and select CUT. 5) Now, open your Explorer files (the one with all your drives) and select Program Files/CuriousLabs/Poser5. 6) You will see a couple of folders and a bunch of icons. Right Click anywhere on the EMPTY part of the screen and select PASTE. 7) You will get a message prompt. Select YES TO ALL. There. The files have now ALL been directed to the correct directories and folders for Poser5. It's that simple. If you open the "Temp" folder you've created and there is NO "Runtime" folder inside, then this will not work for you, but all of the downloads I've come accross so far have this "Runtime" folder, once extracted into a Temp directory. I hope that's helpful (and if it wasn't what you meant at all, sorry). Chloe

I did what Curious Labs and Daz said to do with the files. It is now a big mess and a lot of unusable files. Program dose not see files. Daz wants to have multible Runtime files. I opened the add ins and put them into the Poser 5 folder when they where opened. Needless to say the files are scattered like feathers.
I looked around and found a little program that was suppose to put files in the right place. It was a trial and I searched around and found others who where having trouble with it. I contacted the developer of the little utility and never got an answer to request for the temporary use of it (serial was required to try it). I therefore was not able to see if it would work for me.
Now I have a mess and don't want to uninstall and reinstall untill I figure out exactly how the files should actually land so that I can fix problems immediately.
I have the list of the files and where they go but I would like to know is how many runtimes should a new user like me start with? Do I need to put the top file into the Runtime. Will the program be able to see and retrieve it without the folder or is direct line of site necessary. So far each little thing wants to create yet another Runtime folder.
