Spaceship One has returned successfully! Just saw it on the news! Isn't that great? Score one for Private Enterprise instead of Government Bureaucracy...

As a scientist I'm very glad to see this happen. Had the situation in Iraq not occurred our country might have been able to afford to develop further space explorations.

I didn't know Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, funded SpaceShip One. Interesting.

Paul Allen is also involved in financing SETI work (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence). Now, that's a good way to invest Microsoft money! I'm very excited about the advent of private space travel! Yahoo! Willy
