Subject: Bryce picture background

In poser and other 3d apps you can use pictures as the (background) and build ontop of it to give it a ''real'' look. Can this be done in bryce?

Yes to a degree. You go to create 2D picture object and then load your desired background picture, then a mask if you so desire, and Bryce will spawn you a square 2D face which has your picture on it.

Here it is in my wonderful working background of one of my renders. Can you spot three picture imports?

yea, i know about the 2d picture, i was just hoping in had the same option as like...poser did, then you could adjust the shadow on the ground plane to make it look like it was sitting on the picture you put in the background

Nesibus when that is done in poser it is usually an object that is made with a flat background a flat ground part and a rounded part that is in the middle. All the parts have different areas of the background as maps.

This could probably be done with bryce too but the bryce object might have to have only one map on it. I hope that this is clear enough...

no, in poser you can throw a picture as the background, then take the ground plane and angle it with the picture, and adjust lighting on the character to match the scene, I was just wondering if thats possible in bryce, but i dont think it is, without actually making a 2d object model, which in that case wouldnt work well at all.

So what you actually mean is having a background that would load into bryce? You would need a 2d model
