Hi All I made this while practicing in Z-brush over the weekend with no intention of it ever going anywhere near Poser..alas a friend 'persuaded' me to make it poser ready so here it is, A word of warning though..the polygon count is Massive!,the image on the left is untextured so you can see there is a lot of detail in the mesh itself, this should allow for same cool lighting effects & shadows. like I said with no intention of it being for Poser I wasnt concerned about the Polycount, this shouldn't be taken as an example of my recent work for Daz where keeping a low Polycount is always high in my mind,The mapping & texturing have also been kept very basic. PP & P4 versions supplied(P4 users will need to convert 1 bump map)Colinear facets removed for P5 users(You'll still need to turn off smoothing though) Indulge yourselves Cheers -Stefan PS:Special thanks to Awful soul for the NYN clothes :)

Thanks StoneMason! Love your work - especially the latest Dark Places stuff.

If I understand correctly, Zbrush will now output displacement maps, which means that if you had Poser 5 you could output that as a low poly prop with a displacement map and have all that detail at a very low resource cost to the end user. Might be worth thinking about, Stef. I know it's made me think about getting Zbrush.

Cheers guys :) Ajax..yes,you can use the high poly as a displacement map,but I dont have P5 so I cant try it out:(..in fact I'm not even sure I still have the low poly version of this column,lol,..otherwise I'd be sedning it over for you to work some P5 magic on it :) Staby..I cant recommend it enough,as Ajax said the displacement maps mean you can have massive amounts of detail for very little system resources in Poser 5(or any app that supports displacemnet maps) & besides that it's just plain fun moulding your objects like clay,Too much fun I might add..I really should be working, lol 'Z-Brush central' has a horde of tutorials & friendly folk to get you learning easier, Here's a selection of the Poser related tutorials at the site. Oh well, next time you do one keep a low poly and a displacement map for me and I'll send you back a pic so you can see how it comes out :-) What did it cost you, BTW? In NZ$?

Will do Ajax:)..though I'm kind of hoping your busy getting the Transport ready for surfacing, lol :) In NZ dollars I dont know,..I used Daz credit from the Medbay to buy it (USD$480.00)..I guess that's roughly $700NZ..so thanks to all the Medbay purchasers :)..much appreciated -Stef

Yeah, I am working on the UV mapping for the transport actually. I'll get a mapped version over to you once I'm finished doing it. I'm fussy about UV maps, so it could take a little while to finish. We'll have to put our heads together to make sure we don't make too similar sets of textures. Drop me an e-mail at ajaxsoyyo@yahoo.com would you? You made that much from medbay? I really must get a product up at DAZ some time soon. Guess I better get back to this transport, hey?
