Subject: need help with making a poseable guinea pig

I would like to be able to pose the free guinea I gotten from planit3d (http://www.planit3d.com/source/poser/shanks1.htm) How do I go about doing that. It really don't have any morphs,or ways to pose it. I don't know much about making morphs or what program I need to do this in. Anyone have any ideas to help me out here. Thank you very much for your help and taking the time to read this post.

You could try to bone him in Poser5...wait, that didn't come out right. You could try using the bone feature of Poser5 to give him bones. I haven't played with that room much but it might be possible.

thank you for your response, I haven't played much in the setup room my self. The model is so small it is hard to see how its made up. I am thinking I might have to revamp him in a 3d molding software program but I am also new to that also.

He already has bones. Steve Shanks kindly made this piggy after various people (myself included) went on and on about how much we wanted a guinea pig. He posted it for free to everyone but pointed out that the posing is not perfect. It can pose a bit, despite its wee size though. And he is sooooo cute (I mean the guinea pig but I am sure that Steve is quite cute too).

i agree the guinea pig is very cute, I made a texture map for her modeled after my dearly departed Solo. The only reason I wanted to try and make poses for the guniea pig so I can use it in a couple pitures I wanted to make so I can homor the menory of Solo

Yup, it's a cute piggie. And it IS poseable, to some extend. Some of the jp's are a little wnky, but again, a live guina pig isn't that "poseable" itself - at least the ones I've had wasn't. They mostly sat there and ate *G*

Me too. MysticBlueRaven - your darling little Solo looked so like my piggy, Tenchi. Tenchi is a bit in disgrace at the moment coz he bit me yesterday. I think he got over-exsited as he was running about on the sofa (and my son and I) whilst we were watching the England v Croatia football game last night. England scored and Tenchi chewed! Ernyoka, yep, Tenchi does that, all my pigs have - strange creatures really, aren't they?

Thank you elgyfu Guinea pigs do tend to nip when they are excited, Solo used to go overly excited when I gave her favorite munchie and she would grab my finger instead.

your textures for the guinea pig are great. I am aslo working on a set also. I am hoping to have them ready next week and will post them at PlanIt3D. This is dreamwalker Solo departed daughter. May be down the road someone will come up with a more poseable guinea pig.

I have been trying to use the Hair room to make a long haired piggy - I had a gorgeous Peruvian called Thompson. At the moment I mainly have succeeded in creating little toilet brushes. Keep trying... PS Looking forward to seeing these textures.
