all of you that have put stuff inthe freebie section. you do great work. but the problme being for me is that i have no cash to buy the figures you do the work for like Micheal or Victoria. i'm still stuck with poser 4. and i dont know if i can change your stuff to conform to my p4 chars. and how to do so if it is possible. also i'm wishing i had the cash to hit the store section. ihave at least a couple of reasons, i'm out of a job, and i just found out that i'm a good 5 to 6 months preggie. and i'm not married either. tells you what can happen when one gets drunk with a friend

Firekath there are a lot of free figures available, and some of these have free clothes.

Sixus1.com have quite a few free figures (you have to register to download them but registering there is free)

Ghastley software (at the link) has a lot of free stuff for the poser 4 figures, there are many other sites with poser 4 clothes for free.

It is quite difficult to convert the michael and victoria stuff for the poser 4 people but you dont really need to. There are so many free things for the poser 4 people already that if you keep looking around thenet you will find the things you want.

Xantor is absolutely dead on right.
Once you manage to get the binge drinking with friends under control (this is a joke, no offense is meant), as well, you'll have plenty of time to start thinking about poser stuff -- those last three months are, well, sorta big.

Now, let's see what the good folks here come up with...

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

ynsaen that is not very charitable "Once you manage to get the binge drinking with friends under control".

Sixus Behemoth (I call him Big B) free at www.sixus1.com Sixus1 will be releasing Adam2 and Lilin revamped once they get some more clothing items ready, these base figures should be free. Check there for for more info.

mayadoll anime figure with a lot of the japanese clothing makers giving out stuff for free check the freestuff section on Mayadoll.

Dork (Poser 4 male) and Posette (poser 4 female) have a LOT of stuff for clothing around. Learning and playing can still be fun with the older stuff. check all the poser sites freestuff sections and you can find a TON of stuff.

Daz has Sara for free in the forum www.Daz.com and there are a few clothing items at different sites (not a lot, but some)

www.big-i.com (have to reg but a free site) has clothing items that people have put for download free, various different models.

a better question is, what are you looking for? style, flavor, kind of images ya want to do, and clothing your looking for?

Lot of people here to help out and point ya in the right direction once ya give some clues. If you need to edit images that you render you can grab GIMP for free, it's a graphic application similar in funtions to Photoshop, takes some getting used to, but it's FREE. If ya need any other pointers I think you will find that people in the poser forums will be glad to give advice, helpful tips and pointers, as well as point out some of the better free stuff out there, once they know what your looking for.

OH OH and of course. check out www.runtimedna.com free section. Travler has released a lot of Poser light sets that are really great. There is something called the Skydome with texture packs again free so ya can put clouds aboe your poser figures. they also have something called Cove (I have that right?) it's a backdrop prop that you can put images on and have your poser figures stand infront of. Kinda like in a portrait studio. others have put out photos, places from around the globe to use (Dork in Paris, no problem haha). check there for some great stuff. www.sam3d.com for some really great freebie poser props, canoe, lanterns etc. high quality and great price, again free. PhilC (a great guy also) has older free stuff that is cool http://www.philc.net/freestuff_archive.htm Whew I'm out of breath haha.

ISOP is another site with great freebies. I would advise downloading the miyou character as the clothes for that figure are excellent they might also work with the ordinary poser 4 figures I am not sure I haven`t tried that out.

Also register Daz,from times to times they give for free V1&M1 Low Resolution that's how I got started V1 LoRes was my first Daz figure... I think Mayadoll is the most supported free character on the community. Sara is an A' quality figure too!I don't use her because I don't make toon but there are some innovations on this model that impressed me! Also only with the basic clothing you can have a great variety if you use Transmaps and Custom textures! There is nothing more satisfying then using your own textures on your images! This makes it ever more special&unique! pitklad

If you would like to use some of the fabulous free textures created for Vicky (1&2) and Mike, Check the above link. Look for "P4Vskin" and "P4Mskin". They are remapped versions of Posette and the dork which allow you to use Vicky and Mikes textures. :)

Yes, do this. Register at www.DAZ3d.com. If you don't buy anything, they'll eventually send you a link where you can download the low-res versions of Mike and Vicky for free. These can use all those free Mike and Vicky textures and clothes you see in Free Stuff.

SeanMartin ( ) posted Thu, 24 June 2004 at 9:57 AM

I rarely use Mike or Vicky in my work and only on occasion have been stumped about how to create a particular character. But there's a ton of stuff out there, as folks have already mentioned, and add into that places like www.animotions.com, where, with a little ingenuity, you can take those comic book characters apart and get all sorts of cool things. That's where I found an excellent motorcycle jacket for the P4guy (from a model that was originally a P3, BTW). It's also possible to take a character whose costume is heavily prop-based and transfer those props to a P4 -- one of my favourite characters, a policeman, was done this way, and I've been told it's even better than the currently available Michael version.

"they also have something called Cove (I have that right?) it's a backdrop prop that you can put images on and have your poser figures stand infront of. Kinda like in a portrait studio." Somewhere out there is Satin Studio, could even be here, it's more of a studio (lol, hence the name) atmosphere. Great for the classic portrait studio look.
