Subject: Magix VR Hair for Poser & Vue 4 Esprit

aeilkema ( ) posted Sat, 26 June 2004 at 12:03 PM ยท edited Thu, 03 October 2024 at 4:31 PM

I'm quite interested in Magix VR Hair for Poser at the moment. It seems much more flexible then Poser 5 dynamic hair and for sure a lot less polys. Since I hardly ever use P5 to render my characters, but always render them in Vue 4 Esprit + Mover 5, I'm wondering how well Magix VR Hair works with Vue 4? Can anyone perhaps share some first hand experience with it? Does it load well in Vue 4 (I'm sure it will), does it render nicely and fast too? Or is it a lot slower then dynamic hair (can't imagine it will be)?

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Magix VR Hair works quite well in Vue. I am rendering an example right now. I will post it here when it is ready.

I've used it fairly often; works fine. I don't use Mover, just render stills in Vue d'Esprit 4 and Vue 4 Pro.

Here is an example with a standard atmosphere. I am currently rendering another example in a volumetric atmosphere for comparison.

Second example. Like many other hair styles, this one shows a little bit in volumetric atmospheres, but it is nothing that a little postwork can't handle.

Thanks for the comments and the help. Looks like Magix VR Hair will work well with Vue 4. I'm looking forward purchasing and using it.

I've purchased it and here's my first little render in Vue 4, the Magix VR Hair looks just great, much better then the P5 dynamic hair which renders a little bit 'noisy'.
