I regurlarly visit a dozen or so "3D news/info" type sites. When I found out about DAZ and Bryce, I e-mailed a number of them with the news, some are now carrying the info. ;o) They are some interesting sites for info, galleries, news, etc. http://www.cgchannel.com/ http://www.deathfall.com/ http://www.the123d.com http://www.cgfocus.com/ http://www.3dluvr.com/content/ http://www.computerarts.co.uk/news/ http://www.3dvf.com/ AgentSmith

yep i just saw it in the new oficial page DAZ3D.. i got like WTF...

here

http://www.daz3d.com/program/bryce/ It says that sooner they'll make something so we can import DAZ CONTENTE (Poser) into Bryce easily...

Theres already a plugin called Turbo Import for Bryce 5 BETA..

"Now you can quickly and easily import all your favorite Poser content directly into Bryce 5! This simple plugin works in conjunction with DAZ|Studio to allow you full access within Bryce to any Poser compatible content. Simply load Poser content into DAZ|Studio, export out of DAZ|Studio, then load Bryce 5 and import your recently exported content. Your 3d meshes along with any corresponding materials, including transparencies, will all be brought in together."

and all that is here: http://secure.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=2332 ...

I just left Bryce few weeks ago.. i changed to 3dsmax.. now i wounder.. hm..whats goin to happen to Bryce.. eheh Bryce is getting Higher :D

Yeah, the next step would be to make Bryce 6 able to import pz3 files (Poser scene files) directly. AS

Do you think they could give us the faster render technology soon, like even before Bryce 6 comes out. I want a faster render engine and I want it now. That image I was telling you about AS is about 140mb unzipped and when I finally got all the transparencies to behave and got all the right textures on the right items it told me it would take a minimum of 17 hours to render and that's at AA. So in reality that means it will probably take twice that time, what with the antialiasing and all. 8) Catlin

yep..import PZ3 files...just like Vue Pro... right?? and kinda diferent render engine.. i get a lot more quality with Vue ..weird.. i dont understand about render engines..but vue renders better..IMO..well Well wait for Bryce6 or some updates...

I'm only assuming..but I doubt they could give us a faster rendering engine in just a patch update, it would most likely have to be a whole new version (or a really BIG patch, lol) Yup, import pz3's like Vue. I would assume they would make that available at some point. Bryce and Vue just have higher renderers than Poser. AS

@ Fredzz I think vue renders better, until you start using some of the advanced bits in the bryce renderer, with a little experience the bryce renderer rocks, problem is rocks take an awful long time to grow and so do bryce renders....

The Bryce and Vue rendering engines ARE different somehow, beyond good or bad, faster or slower...they each have a certain finished "look" to thier renders. Enough so, to make them unique to one another. AS

Some of the Vue images I've seen in the gallery are superb, but I think it's just like Bryce in that respect 'cos the superb renders are from folk who seem to have a real talent, like Rochr's work with Bryce. Although I'm still not tempted to go down the Vue road, Bryce is my love and always will be. 8) Catlin
