Subject: Please how to convert clothes to another figure?

I need help to do a thing I'm not sure:I need to convert clothes (boots) created for Michael 1 to fit Vic 3...Can you help me please?

You'll have to use a modelling program to reshape them, first. Poser cannot do that. Then you will need to learn how to either hack a CR2 (about six hours) or purchase the Clothing Convertor to do the rest. This isn't an easily done thing, and requires considerable knowledge of how poser works if you go the hacking a cr2 route. That said, at the top of the page, beneath the advertiseent, is a set of links -- one of them is tutorials. One of the options there is for offsite tutorials. Go there, and start reading. This is a subject pretty much beyond the ability of a single post to teach you simply. If you can narrow the question down specifically to fine points, that will help a great deal, and is more likely to get you good answers.

Thanks for the reply.What I need is to convert a pair of boots I created for Michael to fit Vic 3. What if after I reshape them I use the cloth room?

Well, perhaps -- but they probably won't look like boots anymore. Also, for the cloth room to have any effect, they would need to be single sided polys On the assumption that you opted for simply parenting them to the feet, it might be possibly to use them as regular props, but for any sort of conforming or poseability, you'll have to set up a conformer. If you can get them the right size and shape to fit her, and it's for a still image, pose her first and then put the shoes on her. It'll work for an image, at least.

There is an alternative. The "clothing converter" by markdc and DAZ3D. In my opinion it's a good application, and comes in handy when you have some items you want to fit V3 that are made for V2 or vise versa (it also works for all other poser figures), and to a point it's a money saver. There have been mixed results from other users of this product, but personally I've had no problems with it.

The last time I checked, you could reshape (morph) objects in Poser using the magnets. But maybe by "reshape", you mean add or remove vertices.

Boots? Check the components are the same -- toes, feet, leg. Mike and Vicky, or the same generation, should match there. It doesn't matter about the feet and toes of the figure -- they can be made invisible, so poke-through isn't a problem. Maybe use a transmap to make most of the lower leg invisible. A little tweaking of scale and taper could do the rest. Rather than re-modelling the whole boot, consider a morph. I've used some of these tricks to get a Vicky dress to 'fit' Posette. For a single image, there's all sort of tweaks to try, the equivalent of gaffer-tape and safety pins on a real-world fashion shoot.

do not concidere a morph it will not pose corectely.
