Subject: volumetric lighting.. how the hell does one do it in vue???

Basically the subject.. does anyone have any idea how to accomplish a realistic volumtric light scene.. i have been trying for days.. just can't seem to do it.. and help is highly appreciated!

Basically, you can't do it at all. There is a workaround however: Layer several objects with fuzzy, additive transparency and give them an extremely high reaction to ambient and difuse lightning. You could try some of my Pseudovolumetric Objects from freestuff. But beware: These things multiply your rendertime by at least 10 to 50 times. Have fun, Joerg

heyas; joerg is right (gotta check out those psuedovolumetric things myself... :) ). the vue manual has the basic proceedure in the 'ray of light' tutorial.
